Our Team

Charles and Ada Brown.

Charles & Ada Brown, Owners

Charles and Ada’s desire to help others better their lives crossed paths with Right at Home; the relationship that developed between Right at Home and the Brown’s was essential for developing and quality home care company. For the past nine years that is exactly what the Brown's have provided the Columbia community in South Carolina. Right at Home has provided an avenue for Ada’s nursing background as a licensed CNA and Charles’s more than 30 years of business operations and his MA in Economics to unite with their goals of working with others to better the lives of individuals and families as a whole.

Ada enjoys her work with families, visiting and developing relationships, and baking cookies for her home visits. The realization that people’s lives are being improved by Right at Home’s in home care and the reports of the quality care being given is a focal point for Ada. Charles focuses on developing solutions for the needs of others conducting inquiries with clients. Being able to find the best solution for others is a key role for Charles.

Charles and Ada’s roles extend into to the community. Ada is active within the Alzheimer’s Association, as is Charles as he serves on the board of the Alzheimer’s Association of South Carolina. As an active member he has also chaired the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Charles also serves on the board of the Lourie Center in Columbia and on the committee for the Care Givers Coalition of the Midlands.

A team often reflects the traits of its leadership. Right at Home in Columbia certainly reflects the quality of care and compassion that Charles and Ada Brown have shown in their 10 years of providing in-home care.
