Mark & Dr. Nicole Ross, Owners

Right at Home of East and South Atlanta was founded when Mark and Dr. Nicole Ross and Right at Home Inc. joined together. The strong desires by both parties to provide quality in-home care to seniors and disabled adults, as well as the mission to “improve the quality of life for those we serve”, led to the creation of the Right at Home East Atlanta in Covington in 2012. Right at Home East Atlanta has grown to include South Atlanta, now a total of 11 counties. Office locations include Covington, Snellville, and Fayetteville, Georgia.

Before his time with Right at Home, Mark worked as a residential real estate developer. He loved getting families into the homes of their dreams. He enjoys his current work of keeping seniors in their homes allowing them to “age in place”. Before his time as a developer, Mark graduated from Morehouse College and graduated from Georgia State University, College of Law.

Dr. Nicole Ross has practiced Internal Medicine for over 20 years, helping seniors and patients transition smoothly from the hospital to their homes. During her career, she has worked at the Veteran Administration, where she dealt firsthand with the difficulties and complications of transitioning Veterans back home. Dr. Ross’s experience working in health care has been essential to their success and started when she graduated from Spelman College and went on to graduate from Temple University, School of Medicine. She completed her Internship and Residency at Emory University School of Medicine.

When they are not in the office, they enjoy spending time with their three children, their parents, and extended family. They travel often and love the beach. Their therapy dog, Myla, is always included.

Together Mark and Dr. Ross work to provide the highest quality in-home care available and have received numerous awards. They were most proud to win their first major award from the Covington Newton County Chamber of Commerce “Emerging Business of the Year” shortly after opening. Since then, annually, they have been the recipients of Right at Home Corporate Awards and several local awards including The Newton/ Rockdale Citizen Reader’s Choice Award for “In Home Care” and “Personal Care” and The Best of Newton in Senior Care – Covington News Awards, adding to their accomplishments, The Best of Gwinnett Award for Home Care Providers, in recent consecutive years.

Meet Our Office Staff

Le'ana White, Business Manager

leana-white

Le'ana is a graduate of Gupton-Jones College. She has an associates degree in Mortuary Science. She started her career in funeral services, assisting families in their time of need. Later she moved on to roles in hospitality management. As a teenager, she watched her own family struggle to care for her aunt when she became ill. At the time they did not have the resources or knowledge to know that they could find professional caregivers who could help them. She is inspired to help others in the same situation, and now has the resources and education herself to help them get the additional assistance they need to care for their loved ones. Her favorite part of the home care business is interacting with coworkers and meeting great caregivers. In her free time, Le'ana enjoys crocheting, outdoor activities and spending time with her family.

"Since joining the Right at Home East Atlanta team, I have had the honor to help my grandparents navigate the home care and hospice journey. I was able to spend some time with each of my grandfathers as a family caregiver before their passings. I have also been able to educate family friends as they have needed home care services. I joined the home care industry to help other families, to educate them on the beauty of home care and so that families know that they are never alone as they navigate their loved one's care needs."

Adunnie Poole, Care Coordinator

adunnie-poole

Joining our East Atlanta team in 2022, Adunnie is a Care Coordinator, scheduling our caregivers with clients. She has a background in home care, including being a private in-home caregiver for a Quadriplegic for many years and an Office Manager for a Home Health agency and a Skilled Nursing Agency.

"As a child I remember my mom filling grocery bags and would send her children to deliver food to the elderly in our village. I moved to America when I was 11 years old and every summer when I went home to spend time with my parents' mom would fill a bag with snacks and send me to all the elderly to say my hellos and fill them in on my life. I did not understand or fully comprehend what my mom was instilling in me and my siblings.

When I was in college I worked as a caregiver caring for a quadriplegic and my entire career path changed from my interaction with my client and the care she received. I realized I found joy in helping her and making sure she keeps on smiling. I knew what I got out of the relationship, but I did not know what joy I brought to her life until my dad came to visit me, and my client insisted on meeting him. When she met my dad, she told him he had an angel for his daughter and if she could, she would clone me.

Being a scheduler with Right at Home I get to spend my days making sure that clients in East Atlanta are getting the level of care they need. I love the interactions with the caregivers because I am learning and passing knowledge from one caregiver to the next."

Chelsea Jackson, Care Coordinator

Chelsea joined our Right at Home Snellville team in 2023 as a Care Coordinator. Prior to joining our team, Chelsea was a 911 Public Safety Dispatcher/Certified Trainer in West Palm Beach, FL. She helped people during extremely vulnerable times and was the 'calm voice' during life and death situations.

As Care Coordinator, Chelsea matches clients and caregivers and schedules our Care Pros. Even though she is new to the home care field, Chelsea has always been drawn to and compassionate towards elders and those that are unable to care for themselves. "I found myself in situations several times where I was given the opportunity to help others who didn't have anyone to help them... I feel compelled to help and care for people in a way I would want someone to care for me and my family."

Melanie Ramcharran, Branch Manager

melanie-ramcharran

Melanie joined our Right at Home team in 2022 as the Branch Manager for our Snellville office. She is a graduate of Georgia State University, an Assisted Living Community Administrator and a Certified Dementia Practitioner.

Melanie's career in helping seniors started in Middle School: "I started in senior living as a volunteer while in Middle School. I would assisted the seniors adjusted to technology. After high school, I joined a beautiful assisted living community as an administrative assistant. During my time there, I learned so much personal stories and gained a wealth of knowledge from U.S. History to different culture around the world which, influence my decision to join senior living. It’s very rewarding to serve seniors."

Rachel Atraga, RightCare Specialist

rachel-atraga

Rachel joined the Right at Home Snellville team in 2022. She is a RightCare Specialist, providing support for HR, billing and on the phone, scheduling and supervising caregivers and creating custom care plans. Before Right at Home, Rachel was a Crisis Counselor for a 24-hour crisis unit, providing phone support for clients in crisis and working with hospitals and insurance companies to help get the clients the care they needed.

"I have always had a passion for helping others in need, which is why I chose to get my degree in social work. I have also seen first-hand what a difference a caregiver can make in the lives of other people. It is very inspiring to see how people can heal and begin to gain strength in the comfort of their own home where one feels most comfortable. Right at Home is an agency I am proud to be a part of."
