Newsletter - Back to School Bash 2019
In preparation for the 2019-2020 school year, Right at Home East Atlanta recently hosted our 2nd annual Back-to-School Bash! We gave out bookbags, school supplies, and back-to-school snacks to our Caregivers and their children. We had a blast celebrating the end of summer and helping our Caregivers and their children get geared up for the year ahead. Here's to a great year!
Think Thrive Women's Expo
On Thursday, August 15th, Right at Home East Atlanta participated in the Think Thrive Women's Expo at The Reserve at Hendricks. Francine Oglesby and Leana White attended. The women's expo brought together local successful women for a night of exhibitors, motivational speakers and networking. Francine and Leana are pictured (left) behind their booth at the event. Age Has Its Advantages
Nationwide, increasing numbers of older adults are becoming professional caregivers. Here are a few of the reasons why:
Personal knowledge of the aging process. Because of their own adjustments to aging, senior caregivers can relate to the health changes and emotions their elderly clients are experiencing.
Years of work and life experience. Life-tested seniors are more adaptable and composed than their younger counterparts in handling on-the-job difficulties and unexpected client care issues.
Common-age relational skills. Older loved ones often enjoy reminiscing about their lives and milestone world events. Seasoned in conversing and listening, senior at-home care providers build a natural rapport and genuine friendships with their elderly clients.
