Top Qualities to Seek in a Professional Caregiver
When you’re considering at-home care for a loved one, you want professional caregivers who are thoroughly trained and experienced, but there are a number of valued characteristics that go beyond job descriptions. What is the caregiver’s personality and temperament? Is he or she dependable and steady? To provide the best care and assistance, look for the following exemplary qualities in a caregiver.
- Outstanding character — models compassion, honesty, reliability, sensitivity, trustworthiness and more.
- Connects well with people — creates a connection with care clients and their families.
- Strong team spirit — serves, builds up and looks out for co-workers.
- Community influencer — looks for community service programs and other volunteer opportunities in the community to join.
- Pursues professional development — improves job skills through certification courses, continuing education classes and other learning avenues.

Spooky Treats for Fearless Heroes!
Community Outreach Liaisons, Jack Moon (South Atlanta) and Francine Oglesby (East Atlanta) have been busy this October visiting our Referral Sources and delivering goodie bags filled with Halloween treats to show our appreciation for the wonderful working relationships we have with their facilities. Now more than ever, in this time of social distancing and isolation, letting people know you see and appreciate them is so important. Thank you for the work you do!
30th Annual Fayette Chamber Expo
Right at Home Community Outreach Liaisons from East and South Atlanta, Francine Oglesby and Jack Moon, hosted a booth at the Fayette Chamber's 30th Annual Business and Community Expo. The Expo provided an opportunity for business and the community to connect face-to-face. Now, more than ever, support for local businesses is crucial to the economic health of the Fayette community. This free, family-friendly, accessible event was an opportunity to discover solutions for the home and office. By taking the expo outside, there was ample room for both visitors and exhibitors to social distance.
