How We Match Caregivers

We pride ourselves on our RightCare approach - matching the RightPeople with the RightServices using the RightApproach and RightMission. From the moment you call our office, we start thinking of which of our experienced caregivers might be the best fit for you or your loved one. Aside from scheduling and availability, here are a few of the factors we consider:

  • Personality and Interests: You mentioned mom is chatty and loves to discuss current events. We’ll find a caregiver who is well versed in news and popular culture and can hold a conversation pleasantly. Conversely, if dad prefers to have quiet mornings, we’ll assign a caregiver who will respect those boundaries and engage him when appropriate.
  • Communication Style: Mom struggles to hear out of one ear and often asks people to repeat themselves. We’ll find a caregiver who speaks slowly, loudly and clearly. Dad answers questions directly and sometimes abruptly. We’ll find a caregiver who is understanding and can take direction well.
  • Skillset and Hobbies: Mom is on a special diet as prescribed by her doctor and needs help with 2 out of 3 meals per day. We’ll find a caregiver who loves to cook and understands dietary restrictions. Dad loves to garden but needs to be reminded of when to water his plants and assisted in the yard. We’ll find a caregiver with a green thumb and a can-do spirit to make sure dad’s greenery thriving.
