Purim Celebration at JCC Metro West's Senior Center in West Orange

On March 1, 2018, Right at Home of Essex County sponsored a fun party for the Jewish holiday of Purim at the JCC Metro West's Senior Center in West Orange. The festival of Purim celebrates the salvation of Jewish people in ancient Persia, thanks to Queen Esther's intervention. Purim officially ends at Sundown on March 1st. For today's celebration, there was plenty of entertainment which consisted of dancing and reenacted story telling. The seniors also enjoyed traditional foods such as Hamantaschen.
