Our Mission

Put simply, our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. Of course, we recognize that everyone’s idea of “quality of life” is different, which is why it’s so important to us to make you an active part of your own care plan. We want you to be in the driver’s seat regardless of any limitations or challenges you’re facing.

Most of all, we believe aging isn’t just about staying healthy, safe and independent. It’s also about living well.

Our History

Beau and Rachel Green’s main inspiration for starting Right at Home Gardendale is plain and simple: family. From coaching their kid's little league games to family trips, the Greens understand the importance of spending time with family. They understand first-hand the struggles and difficulties every family faces when taking care of a loved one.

Beau’s grandmother suffered from Alzheimer's for many years. She was an educator who cared for her community. Rachel has family members that have also suffered from memory loss.

Rachel and Beau have witnessed first-hand a loved one turning from a kind and loving person to someone they could barely recognize.

It was through this occurrence that they observed a real-life testimony to the rewards excellent home care can bring to a family.  This experience coupled with their family-based values has forged a business that pledges to be devoted, present and committed to your family's needs.

Beau extends his dedication to seniors to community projects, serving as a committee member of the nationally accredited Hoover Senior Center. Beau worked for over two years with a team that helped the center achieve accreditation with the National Institute of Senior Centers (NISC), a standard reached by only 200 senior centers nationwide.

Free Wheelchair Mission

Globally, an estimated 70 million people with disabilities have no access to a wheelchair. Those who cannot walk must crawl or be carried to their destination. In collaboration with a network of like-minded partners, Free Wheelchair Mission has distributed more than 1 million wheelchairs to people with disabilities in 93 developing countries around the world, providing renewed dignity, independence and hope through the gift of mobility, at no cost to the recipient.

As an organization, our work with Free Wheelchair Mission began in 2016 as we looked for a partner that would help us further our mission of improving lives worldwide. To date, our team’s efforts have raised more than $400,000 that has funded over 5,000 wheelchairs, which were distributed through life-changing Vision Trips to Vietnam, Ecuador and Costa Rica.

Josiah’s House

Over half of the children living in the Dominican Republic live below the poverty line and can be found on the streets in at-risk surroundings in order to make money. Josiah’s House runs family-style homes that provide vulnerable boys and girls with the basic necessities, education, life skills, and family home atmosphere needed to succeed.

Recently, 70 Right at Home offices came together to support Josiah’s House by supplying everyday items for the children of Josiah’s House. The group delivered suitcases full of clothing, personal hygiene items, toys, and other supplies.
