Joy Wilson, Owner

Right at Home owner Joy Wilson

Joy has a heart dedicated to serving others. She acquired her Right at Home office in early 2015 and she brings to it a dedication to excellence and compassion. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, TN with a major in religion.

To this day Joy continues to believe in acting out the golden rule; treating others as she would like to be treated – with respect and dignity, support and compassion.

Joy has worked in the healthcare industry for over 15 years. In that time she gained experience ranging from working directly with physicians to development products in the specialties of women's health, cardiovascular, and prescription monitoring. Throughout her time serving the healthcare industry she displayed professionalism and a high ethical standard that propelled her to become an authority and forefront leader among her peers.

Parkinson's Angel of HopeJoy has served on the board and as the Treasurer for the PJ Parkinson’s Support Group of Blount County. She lead the caregiver support group for PJ Parkinson’s and is very passionate about education and support of the Parkinson’s community. She also served as the Mission Chair for Alzheimer’s Association Tennessee Chapter.

Today Joy owns and operates Right at Home with the same excellence, professionalism, and compassion that she started with. Her favorite time living out those professional and ethical pillars is when she visits with clients. She strives to fulfill Right at Home’s mission “to improve the quality of life for those we serve.” She believes that finding the perfect caregiver match is extremely important.  When she isn’t working Joy loves spending time with her family and friends and staying active.

Rick Wilson, Operations Director

Rick Wilson began his career working as a contract administrator for Northrup Grumman after graduating in 1994 with a degree in business management. He then moved on to work for Toyota as the corporate trainer for the next 15 years.

After his mother passed away in 2006, Rick decided to make a career change to work in home care. He joined Right at Home as the operations director in 2014, taking care of payroll, accounts payable and accounts billable.

Shannon Valentino, Office Manager

Shannon Valentino

Shannon joined the Right at Home team in 2020 with fresh ideas and a strong home care foundation. Although she has been helping and serving others since her youth, Shannon started her career working with the elderly at an Assisted Living Facility during college. The hands-on experiences and personal Caregiving experience with grandparents, fueled her passion to serve those in need of care. Upon graduating from Middle Tennessee State University with her Bachelor’s in Organizational Communication, Shannon developed her Law Office Management and Human Resources Management talents.

Pam Barnes, a dedicated nurse with a servant's heart, whose passion for caring spans over 27 years in the nursing profession. Throughout her career, Pam has cultivated deep and meaningful relationships with her clients, earning their trust and respect through her compassionate care and unwavering dedication.

Transitioning into her role as Client Relations Manager with Right at Home, Pam brings her wealth of experience and her innate ability to connect with people to foster strong relationships between the company and their clients. With her empathetic approach and genuine concern for the well-being of others, Pam ensures that each client receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs.

Pam has served as a co-chair for the "walk to make Alzheimer's a memory" supporting Alzheimer's Tennessee for the past two years. She is very passionate about the research, education, and support of those living with Alzheimer's and other types of Dementia.
