Hear from Clients We’ve Served in Milwaukee

“I don't have to worry about my mom anymore because I know she is taken care of. They have helped my mom so much and do anything she needs. I am not there and can't check in on her so it would be a scary thing, but with them, it has been great.”

“I have used Right at Home for my mother's care since she can no longer take care of herself. I do not live close to her so I found this service to be exceptional in helping my mom out on a daily basis. They are at her home to give her her medications, prepare her meals, help her dress, bathe, remember to use her walker, clean her house and wash her clothes. They also spend lots of time talking with her and playing music that she enjoys listening and singing to. She has the same couple of caregivers on a daily basis, and is so happy when they are there. The home office staff visits her home weekly and is in contact with me regularly. If I need to speak to them, it is never a problem getting in touch with them. Being so far from my mom, Right at Home has truly given me peace of mind with her daily care.”

Frequently Asked Questions About Milwaukee In-home Care Services

A Milwaukee, Wisconsin male caregiver helping a female client with their medications.

Where does Right at Home — Milwaukee provide in-home care services?

Our trained caregivers can visit your loved one in Bayside, Brown Deer, Cudahy, Fox Point, Franklin, Greendale, Greenfield, Milwaukee, Oak Creek, River Hills, Saint Francis, South Milwaukee, Shorewood, Union Church, Wauwatosa, West Milwaukee, or Whitefish Bay.

What’s the best way to approach in-home care with an elderly loved one?

It’s important to always approach different care solutions delicately. You should never try to force your loved one into a decision or pressure them into doing something they don’t want to. Instead, approach the conversation with a desire to understand. Explore how they’re feeling and what their needs are.

Aging can be scary and it’s not always easy to ask for help, meanwhile having help forced on you can feel even worse. Becoming aggressive or hostile with your loved one is an effective way to end the conversation quickly and drive a wedge in your relationship. Instead, show you care by listening and work to find a solution that works for both of you.

In-home care often provides an increased sense of independence and control, as well as the ability to stay comfortable at home.

Why in-home senior care over senior living homes?

Today, many aging adults prefer to stay at home. While this increases comfort, it can also increase the chances of injury or illness. To combat this, many people may choose to support their aging parents at home. While this may work in the short term, long-term caregiving can be draining both emotionally and physically. If you have a full-time job and kids, caring for your aging parent can become increasingly difficult.

Professional in-home caregiving can provide the relief you may need, while still providing the support your loved ones need.

How does Right at Home — Milwaukee approach in-home care?

We take a vested interest in you and your loved one. We work to understand your unique situation and develop a care plan based on that. From there, we match you with a caregiver based not just on physical need, but on personality as well.

Call Right at Home in Shorewood to begin developing your personalized care plan. (414) 877-1635
