Union AARP Aging in Place Event September 14
The Union, New Jersey chapter of AARP had a Lunch and Learn session on September 14. Lois Shanker, Community Liaison of Right at Home Morris and Union Counties, represented The Caring Sharing Network to speak at the event, providing information about aging in place, senior home care and disabled adults care assistance.
The Caring Sharing Network was created in 2008 by Lois Shanker. Members of the group are professionals who represent myriad of service providers in Union County and Morris County in New Jersey. They are dedicated to advocating for elderly members of the community and providing information of local resources.

Health fair September 24
Right at Home Morris and Union Counties attended the Health Fair at Saint Teresa’s Church at Summit, New Jersey on Sunday (Sept 24). Lois offered information and resources about aging in place, answering questions regarding senior home care and disabled adults care assistance.
Caring Sharing Network Linden Retired Men’s Club
The Caring Sharing Network gave a presentation to the members of the Linden Retired Men’s Club on Tuesday (Sept 26), sharing information about resources in the community. Lois Shanker, Community Liaison of Right at Home Morris and Union Counties founded the Caring Sharing Network in 2008. She was one of the speakers at the event. Other speakers of the day include Maggie Petino, Attorney; and Donna Occhipinti from the Visiting Physician.
Health fair (September 28)
Lois represented Right at Home Morris and Union Counties at the Health Fair at Township of Union Senior Center on Thursday (Sept 28), providing information and resources about aging in place, senior home care and disabled adults care assistance.
