This Right at Home agency was established in 2009 and has been in business for over 12 years. It is backed by Right at Home Corporate, which was founded over 26 years ago and now has over 500 franchisee offices nationally and internationally.

We provide both companion care and personal care. Companion care includes support with activities such as laundry, light housekeeping, errands/transportation, medication reminders, meal preparation and general companionship. Personal care includes support with tasks such as ambulation, bathing, continence/toiling, dressing, eating, and transferring.

Yes, all Right at Home caregivers are bonded and insured. They also undergo a thorough background check, which includes finger printing, confirmation of licenses (where applicable), and drug testing.

We will do our best to match your needs and requirements with the appropriate caregiver. This may include foreign language speaking, driving ability, cooking ability, personality types, etc. While we cannot guarantee a “perfect match” each time, we will work with you and your family to ensure that you are satisfied with our services.

Our goal is to establish familiarity and consistency between you and the caregiver(s) over a period of time. Therefore, we will do our best to keep the same caregiver(s) on the case. However, depending on the number of hours and days requested, we may need to assign multiple caregivers to avoid/minimize overtime charges. Moreover, this strategy can help when caregivers take time off for vacation, etc.

Yes, our caregivers can provide medication reminders and assist you with taking medication. Optional medication management by a registered nurse is also available (e.g., medication pours).

Yes, you may change the level and hours of service and you may discontinue services at any time with 24 hours’ notice.  We understand the care situation can quickly change, so we're as flexible as possible with your loved one's care.

Right at Home provides family members with online access to “The Family Room” portal. This portal allows you to see client care logs and shift schedules and provide input to, and ask questions of, agency staff.

Physician authorization is required for personal care, but not companion care services. If you are not sure which type of care you need, our nurse will conduct an assessment to make a determination. If personal care is required, the nurse will obtain the necessary authorizations from your physician.

The cost of in-home care depends on the number of care hours and frequency of visits, as well as the types of services needed. This information is gathered during the in-home care assessment and used to create a custom care plan that is focused on your unique needs.

Our home care services are typically billed on an hourly basis. Right at Home offers a free download of our Ways To Pay for In-Home Senior Care Guide that gives information about the median monthly cost of care in the U.S., as well as programs that can help pay for the service.

To discuss the exact rates for the services you may need, contact our local office.

Medicare Parts A and B do not pay for ongoing assistance with the activities of daily living (called “custodial care” in the exclusions of Medicare plans). Medicare Advantage (also called “Part C”) may cover some services in the home (referred to as “in-home support”). To understand the benefits of Medicare, visit www.medicare.gov.

Long-term care insurance (depending on the policy and the plan of care) may assist in paying for a variety of home-based and facility care services.

Did you know there are several funding options available to help pay for in-home care? Right at Home offers a free download of our Ways To Pay for In-Home Senior Care Guide that gives information on these programs.

You never have to pay caregivers directly. Whether you are in the planning stages or need immediate care, you don’t want to spend your time managing the financial and legal obligations of employing a caregiver. With Right at Home, you don’t have to. Because our caregivers are employed by our independently owned and operated office, you don’t have to worry about federal, state or Social Security taxes. Caregivers are bonded/insured and properly screened, including criminal and background checks. You (or an authorized representative) are only invoiced after the completion of services. Usually, this happens weekly. And, you'll never be asked to pay an additional fee to any employee.

Understanding all of the options for in-home care and how to pay for it can be confusing, especially at a time of stress and concern for a loved one. Right at Home is here to help. We’ve cared for thousands of families just like yours. There are a variety of ways to pay for in-home care. Right at Home offers a free download of our Ways to Pay for In-Home Senior Care Guide that gives information about the programs that can help pay for the service.

Right at Home follows very strict HIPAA guidelines and privacy protocols. We will sign a privacy agreement with you prior to the start of care. All employees – including caregivers and office staff – undergo HIPAA training annually to ensure that they are up to date on the latest guidelines, rules and regulations. Furthermore, we use a secure server to house date/information, and secure email where information must be transmitted electronically.
