Joining St. Mary Medical Center's 6th Annual Stroke Symposium
Right at Home of Northwest Indiana recently participated in the 6th annual Stroke Symposium sponsored by St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. The purpose of the symposium was to raise stroke awareness and help members of the community evaluate their risk for stroke and learn ways to reduce their risk. Right at Home representatives at the symposium included our resident social worker and vice president, Carole Dougherty, along with Marissa Martin, our office manager.
In addition to helping raise awareness of stroke risk and prevention, Carole and Marissa were able to connect with seniors and their family members who are in need of the kinds of home care services that Right at Home offers. It was wonderful to share stories, interact with members of the community, and offer help to our local seniors. These important members of our community reminded us why Right at Home strives to provide the gold standard in home care. Not only did Carole and Marissa connect with attendees of the symposium, they also met with other local senior healthcare professionals. Overall this was a wonderful experience and we hope to be able to attend again next year!
