Charter Member, Illinois Chapter of the Home Care Association of America
The Home Care Association of America is the nation's first association for private duty home care and is a recognized resource for information. Founded in 2002, HCAOA leads the home care industry through education and advocacy. Today, HCAOA has more than 1,300 member organizations and represents over 300,000 employees.
Advisory Council Member, Area Agency on Aging
Chartered in 1974, the Agency on Aging is a non-profit agency dedicated to combining resources, leadership and expertise on aging in DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will counties. The Agency on Aging works closely with the U.S. Administration on Aging, the Illinois Department on Aging and many other organizations to support the aging through the development and promotion of a network of services for the elderly designed to optimize their quality of life.
American Society on Aging
Those belonging to the American Society on Aging have a common goal: "To support the commitment and enhance the knowledge and skills of those who seek to improve the quality of life of older adults and their families." With over 5,000 members, the ASA offers members diverse perspectives and experiences, allowing members to gain skills and knowledge to be more effective in working with older adults.
McHenry Taskforce on Aging
Owner of Right at Home Northwest Suburban Chicago, Jeanette Palmer serves as the Treasurer of the McHenry Taskforce on Aging. Founded in 1980, the mission of the McHenry Taskforce on Aging is to "Promote awareness of the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of McHenry County’s senior citizens through continuing education of the community at large." The Task Force is made up of individuals, organizations, agencies, and facilities who seek to promote the well-being of seniors in McHenry County.
