Superstar Awards

Superstar Awards are given to those Care Associates that achieved the 5-Star Caregiver Award for four consecutive calendar quarters. Meet our Superstar Award winners.

Rockstar Caregivers

The Rockstar Caregivers Award is given to the Care Associates that best supported the office team in the previous month. Factors considered include: flexibility with shifts accepted, good communications with the office, proper adherence to policies and procedures, and team spirit. Caregiver of the Year

Caregiver of the Year Award is bestowed upon the Care Associate that best exemplifies our 5-Star Model of Excellence in Caregiving. They would have consistently earned Reliability Rewards, 5-Star Awards, and would have received at least one Above & Beyond Award in the previous twelve months. The Caregiver of the Year receives a certificate, a cash award, and is also nominated for national recognition by the Right at Home franchise network. Nominees receive an acknowledgement letter from the President of Right at Home and a certificate of recognition.

Above & Beyond Award Winners Hall of Fame

Delaiah Scott

Delaiah continually goes Above and Beyond for her clients. Once, a client's garage door stopped working. Instead of calling the repairman Delaiah researched the problem on the internet and after pushing a few buttons the door began working again. Delaiah did the same for another client when the grandfather clock stopped working. A few pulls of some chains and the clock now works fine.

While with a client who uses a wheelchair, Delaiah noticed one of the breaks on the wheelchair was broken. Delaiah found as many pieces to the break has she could and then attempted to assemble it onto the wheelchair, using the break on the other side of the wheelchair has a guide. Delaiah took note of the missing pieces based on her comparison. Delaiah then went to Home Depot and purchased the missing pieces, went back to the client's home and finished the break assembly. The client is happy to have two working breaks on his chair. Way to think outside the box Delaiah!

Noting that a 62nd wedding anniversary was fast approaching a couple that she was caring for, Delaiah got her creative skills out and set up a romantic dinner for two in her clients’ dining room. Tears of joy that went around. Delaiah found all the love letters they used to write to each other and she read them that evening, which made them really happy! There were tears and lots of laughs. One the cake, Delaiah got a special message written. This message is something they say to each other every anniversary, and she ordered their favorite meal for dinner.

Allison Ziel

Ms. P recently had a heart attack and needs to eat a heart healthy diet, she has been a little reluctant, but with the help of Allison and her "marvelous cooking" she is enjoying her new eating lifestyle. She is impressed that Allison searches for new recipes, encourages her to get exercise, and always find something to do while she there. Ms. P states "Allison is just an all around charming young woman.” Allison does everything that Ms. P asks and then is doing things that she didn't even think of, she loves how proactive Allison is in getting things done!

On another occasion, Allison accompanied her client, Ginny to an important doctor’s appointment, and asked questions Ginny forgot to ask. Allison was present and helped advocate and educate Ginny and assisted with scheduling future appointments and was willing to be flexible to take her to them. Ginny stated that Allison was "very, very helpful and a very good driver". On another day, Ginny was talking to Allison about needing to wash her car, but not looking forward to doing it. Allison told her, not to worry and that she should relax and read her book while she washed the car! Ginny thrilled! Allison was happy to help even though it was not one of her tasks. Ginny called the office to let us know that “ Allison was wonderful." We were happy to hear that (but we already knew that, didn’t we ;-)

Robin Lamont

Robin has gone Above & Beyond for one of her client's who recently lost her husband of 65 years. When the client moved from her long time home to a retirement community Robin made sure the client got out of the community by taking her lunch. The client does not drive and had not adjusted to using the community transportation. Robin took initiative in helping the client adjust to her new life by doing something that would be familiar to her.

Robin had another client that had dementia and needed extra care during a family reunion. Robin sang carols with her client while rest of the family was having their holiday dinner. Robin later found out that this was a huge part of the holidays for the family and was always a special treat.

Jennifer Bye

Jennifer would take her client, Jim, his favorite snacks when she worked with him and would even take his laundry home to wash it. When asked to submit a receipt for laundry detergent she simply said “I have to wash clothes anyway so doing one more load won’t hurt me, besides this way I can make sure Jim doesn’t get any of this clothes misplaces at the rehab center.” When Jim moved back to California, his family flew Jennifer down to help him transition into his new home.

Jennifer also went above and beyond with client Gerry. Jennifer worked with Gerry while he was living at a local retirement community. As Gerry's condition declined, he moved into the hospice house. Knowing that Gerry didn't have a lot of family in the area, Jennifer went by the hospice house on her own time to visit with him, talk baseball, and bring him a slice of lemon meringue pie. Great job, Jennifer, keep up the great work!

Dove Miller

Dove went above and beyond with Mr. and Mrs. N. She is very sensitive to their needs and feelings. Mr. N was feeling very anxious and confused, thinking he was supposed to go somewhere today. Mr. N’s anxiety was causing Mrs. N a lot of grief. Dove did not feel right leaving them in that state, so she reached out to the office. Dove chose to stay well beyond her scheduled shift and got approval from the N.’s Care Manager to take both on a drive to clear their minds. It makes us happy to see a care associate that is so familiar with her clients’ personalities and can pick up on behaviors that are out of the norm.

Jade Liu

Jade and her client, Jackie, are an example of a perfect match. Recently, this client has been having a lot of change and Jade has been her constant; she has been there to help support and encourage her. Jade has been more than accommodating in schedule changes due to the clients change in condition. She was there for her to take her to follow up appointment after surgery while also making sure the client’s home continued to stay in working order as she recovered. Thank you for all you do Jade!

Jasmine Harp

Our client, Ray, called in just to recognize Jasmine for all her hard work while with him. He stated that she is wonderful and helps him so much, she always does a great job and he could not do it without her. He looks forward to her coming to help him, she is so patient in working with this client who is sometimes not easy to please but Jasmine always knows what to do and how to help him. He also has a dog that barks and snips, Jasmine has helped keep herself and other staff safe by asking that the dog be kept in another room so that the best care can be provided to this client. Way to go, Jasmine! We are honored to have you as part of our team!

Lynne Sweatt

Lynne was working with one of her clients who has limited time to get laundry done because of set up times for laundry in her apartment complex, when she went to do laundry the client had run out of coins to get the laundry done. Lynne knew this was her only opportunity to get laundry do and was not going to let her client go without clean laundry so she took it upon herself to pay for it and get it done. Many times she finds other people's laundry in the dryer. Lynn takes the time to fold the clothes and leaves them on the dryer. Sometimes she has even gotten thank you note written for the 'laundry angel.' Thank you, Lynne for always putting your clients first! You truly are an amazing Care Associate!

Yolanda Voorhies

Yolanda went above and beyond with her client, Betty. Betty and Yolanda have worked together for a long time. When Betty was scheduled for a procedure on her foot, Yolanda opened up her availability and committed to being there for her whenever needed during her recovery. In the weeks leading up to the procedure, Yolanda practiced excellent communication skills with the office keeping us informed about Betty’s care and scheduling needs. After the procedure, she remained flexible with her availability and was willing to help with anything needed. Betty reports that Yolanda has been terrific in helping her recover from her procedure.

Jeni Bliss-Vinson

Jeni took it upon herself to help her client hem his pants. She took her sewing machine over to his home and made sure that his pants were looking neat and tidy. Thank you Jeni!

Trudy Foslien

Trudy went above and beyond for her client by helping him celebrate his 97th birthday! She decorated his house and bought him balloons to make his day extra special! Thank you for making your client’s birthday extra special, Trudy!

Marla Johnson

Marla has been kindly persistent in making sure that one of our client got used to wearing depends. She showed her how to use them; how to put them on; and to understand why she was using them. The family appreciated the fun and light-hearted way Marla got their mom to adapt to her situation.

Susan Stecher

During the snowmageddon of 2019, Susan agreed to work a 5-day stretch with her client so that the other Care Associates would not need to attempt to get to the home in the snowstorm. Susan was more than willing to help to ensure everyone's safety.

Brittany Hendricks

Hope phoned today to give praise to Brittany Hendricks, Hope stated that Brittany went above and beyond the other night when she asked if there was anything that Hope would like done, Brittany swept the garage for Hope, Hope also stated that Brittany does these kinds of things all the time.

LaVinia Reneau

LaVinia’s client’s daughter said the bathrooms smelled of urine. LaVinia decided to use her cleaning background and take care of the bathrooms. She cleaned the toilets and even used a toothbrush (not to worry, she brought an old one) to clean the hinges, bottom and bolts. They are now shiny clean! Mirrors and sinks were also cleaned.
