Matt Field
Owner and CFO
Matt was born and raised on the North Shore. After graduating from Union College in Schenectady, NY followed by graduate school in New York City, Matt spent over a decade working in non-profit leadership in Rochester, NY for a decade where he spent much of his time working with older adults and their families as they navigated through some of their lives' most difficult challenges. In 2012, Matt and Rachel decided to move to Chicago to be closer to family, when they opened Right at Home. Matt enjoys working with families and helping to guide them through difficult transitions, bringing a sense of confidence and comfort.
Matt is a Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners, a CPR and BLS trainer, certified by the American Red Cross, and an Embodied Labs virtual reality trainer.
When Matt is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and their French Bulldog, Mabel. Matt is a life-long fitness enthusiast, having spent nearly 30 years as an endurance junkie.
Rachel Field
Owner & President
Rachel Field grew up in Baltimore, MD, and attended Union College in Schenectady, NY where she met Matt, who nearly four years later became her husband. In the early years of Rachel's career, she was in the non-profit sector, working with teens and their families. In 2012, Rachel and Matt opened Right at Home of North Suburban Chicago, originally located in Deerfield. In 2018, Rachel became the President of the company and leads a strong team of professionals who are dedicated to providing solutions to individuals and families who require home care, companionship, and skilled nursing services. The team approach of Right at Home ensures a commitment to quality care unrivaled in the industry.
Rachel and her leadership staff are also dedicated to building and supporting a strong team of caregivers, CNAs, and nurses who truly understand the mission to improve the quality of life of life for those who we serve. Right at Home is proud to be an employer of choice under Rachel's leadership, year after year.
When Rachel is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her two dogs, Lola and Mabel. She also enjoys reading, and playing canasta and mahjong with her friends.
