It's with great honor that Right at Home Pearl City congratulate Lynn Bacani on her 2017 Caregiver of the Year award for our office. Lynn has served our eldercare community well. She has those three traits we value so much; Reliable, Compassionate & Patience. Her clients love her and we are very grateful for her contributions to our inedible team.
Lynn was very appreciative of this award and gave her own statement of what working for Right at Home Pearl City has been like and means to her:
I would like to take this opportunity in expressing my gratitude and expressing how thankful and blessed I am to be an employee and a part of the Right at Home Family of Caregivers for almost 2 years now. From the beginning of my employment, I was unsure of my ability to do the job since I’ve been out of this line of work for quite some time. But as I started working for Right at Home, the work and personal experience I once had begun to come back naturally along with the mass of different training offerings available and provided by Right at Home. With this, I was able to grow and gain the confidence back in my ability to become a key member of Right at Home. Since then, I’ve enjoyed working with clients of all backgrounds and was given the chance to demonstrate my ability to their lifestyle and develop great bonds and relationships with them and their families. In fact, they became like family to me who I cared for dearly and who their family put their trust in my hands to take on all kinds and unexpected caregiving tasks of their loved ones. I put in my all and do my best in dedicating my hard work and face the challenges to provide the quality of enhancement care my clients need and deserve. My supervisors and employer has recognized me as such-Active Team Player who works effectively and dependably with them, with our Clients and their families. For this, I am honored to be a part of the Team at Right at Home. As a passionate, patient, caring and reliable Caregiver, I look forward to more days working with Clients and their families along side the Right at Home Team.
With Much ALOHA,
Loralyn (Lynn) Blas Bacani
Right at Home Pearl City would love to and could award each and every one of their incredible staff with a Caregiver of the Year award. And in time, in our own appreciative way, we certainly do thank them for being so remarkable. Right at Home is grateful for the team we have become. Congrats Lynn. Very well deserved.

Vanessa T.
Vanessa exemplifies our Right at Home level of care and is just an example of one of our incredible staff. We are so blessed to have such heartfelt, wonderful, skilled team of caregivers. This quarter, like every quarter Vanessa's contributions to our Island's Kupuna has been amazing. Mahalo Vanessa. That being said, we proudly awarded her with the Caregiver of the quarter award in 2018. We've included Vanessa's bio for your reading pleasure.
Vanessa is a Puerto Rican woman that has learned in life that the way we treat each other leaves a mark for life. She has been blessed with 2 amazing daughters that she will love eternally. Besides working as a caregiver, she loves to volunteer at her church to serve the community. She always finds time to watch sunsets, talk with family and friends and read books. She married a wonderful man and together they enjoy, studying the Bible, traveling, hiking, exploring places, watching football and working out. With this union, she has inherited two wonderful children. Vanessa’s youngest daughter was diagnosed with cancer. While she was going to the treatments at the hospital she was amazed by the way the nurses and nurse assistants treated her daughter. She said; “they treated my daughter like it was their own child”. After her daughter went to heaven, she wanted to contribute back to others what she received from the example of the nurses and nurse assistants. In 2010 she changed careers and starting working as a CNA. She started at a nursing home, then she took the opportunity to work with individuals who have Cerebral Palsy. That’s when she discovered that working in a one on one atmosphere was her best fit. Her compassion, empathy, respect, responsibility, friendliness and accountability have helped her to be the caregiver she is today. Her goals as a professional for the future is to have the opportunity to teach others how to improve relationship with clients and others.
Well stated Vanessa.
