Therapeutic Video Game that can Stave Off Depression

Right at Home Senior Care Living Radio Show - Seattle and Tacoma

(December 11, 2016)

We met with Dr. Pat Areán, Director of The CREATIV Lab at the University of Washington and Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington. Dr. Arean is recruiting older adults for a study she is running at The CREATIV Lab that is testing the effectiveness of a therapeutic video game, EVO, on treatment-resistant depression that causes impairment of concentration, focus and decision-making. In a small sample size, Dr. Areán and her team have found that older adults with depression had significant improvement in mood and cognitive function after four weeks of playing EVO.

Are you interested in playing EVO?
