Our Mission

Put simply, our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. Of course, we recognize that everyone’s idea of “quality of life” is different, which is why it’s so important to us to make you an active part of your own care plan. We want you to be in the driver’s seat regardless of any limitations or challenges you’re facing.

Most of all, we believe aging isn’t just about staying healthy, safe and independent. It’s also about living well.

A More Meaningful Purpose in Our Community

Service and compassion come easily to owners Mark and Rachel Reynolds. After spending over thirty years as special education teachers, the couple wanted to continue serving others in their second careers as well. Honoring this dedication to service, they found that owning a Right at Home franchise was a natural fit.

Seeing the needs of seniors first-hand while caring for their own family members, they realized a homecare business would allow them the opportunity to continue caring for others in a meaningful way. They realize how frustrating it is for adult children to be far from their aging parents and know the importance of having reliable, compassionate helpers to fill in when family members cannot be there.

They are also painfully aware of the lack of services for adults with disabilities in Texas. While working as special educators in a high school setting, both Mark and Rachel have witnessed the fear and desperation of parents whose children age-out of the public school system with limited opportunities for services as adults. The couple is committed to filling this void and has the unique knowledge to serve this population.

Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in Education and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, while Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a master’s degree in Educational Psychology. Mark and Rachel are able to use their expertise as educators to provide quality training and supervision to their caregivers. They are passionate about creating a supportive environment for their caregivers because they understand that caregivers play a crucial role in the well-being of their clients. They believe that a person who is appreciated will do more than what is expected and realize that this philosophy translates to excellent care for those they serve.

Right at Home Rockwall is family owned and operated. Mark and Rachel are joined full-time by their daughter, Rebekah, who holds a master’s degree in Social Work. Their younger daughter, Sarah, works in the business part-time as she completes her degree in Speech Language Pathology. The entire family considers it an honor and a privilege to serve those in need.

Why Rachel Chose to Provide In-Home Care

Our Philanthropy

Globally, an estimated 70 million people with disabilities have no access to a wheelchair. Those who cannot walk must crawl or be carried to their destination. In collaboration with a network of like-minded partners, Free Wheelchair Mission has distributed more than 1 million wheelchairs to people with disabilities in 93 developing countries around the world, providing renewed dignity, independence and hope through the gift of mobility, at no cost to the recipient.

As an organization, Right at Home's work with Free Wheelchair Mission began in 2016 as the company looked for a partner that would help us further our mission of improving lives worldwide. To date, the Right at Home team's efforts have raised more than $400,000 that has funded over 5,000 wheelchairs, which were distributed through life-changing Vision Trips to Vietnam, Ecuador and Costa Rica.
