Heart Health Is One Key to Living Longer

February is American Heart Month, an annual heart health campaign that aims to raise awareness about heart disease. In addition, it pays tribute to researchers, physicians, public health professionals and volunteers for their efforts in preventing, treating and researching heart disease, which is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the U.S. According to American Heart Association, heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular disease account for 1 in 3 deaths in the U.S.

At Right at Home Sacramento-Davis, our supportive caregivers can help seniors with heart disease understand the lifestyle changes that are necessary to make life easier. In addition, we can provide respite for family caregivers who may be caring for a loved one with heart disease. We can do this by offering services such as medication reminders, transportation to and from appointments, light housekeeping, and meal preparation.
