Introducing Stephanie Drolett, Director of Nursing
Right at Home North Shore/Chicago Metro is thrilled to introduce our new Director of Nursing, Stephanie Drolett!
Stephanie joined the Right at Home Team in January. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University, an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and has been a nurse for 22 years.
Stephanie shared her professional background and what led her to Right at Home:
I worked in a doctor's office since high school- first as front office staff doing billing and reception work. In college, I started working part time in the back office and registry at various hospitals as a nurse assistant. As an RN, I worked 7 years on the floor (Med/Surg - Labor/Delivery/Gyne)
After my MBA, I worked in medical sales for 12 years at Bayer. I wanted to get back to my nursing roots and 5 years ago, I became a nurse liaison where I could combine my business and nursing experience. During this time, I was exposed to a more aging population and the additional needs people have for their recovery after being discharged from the hospital. Over my last few positions, I have transitioned through various post-acute entities- Long Term Acute Care hospital, to skilled nursing/rehab, and now to home care.
Stephanie came to Right at Home looking for a new challenge and the ability to use both her nursing and business backgrounds. Her short and long-term goals with this position are: to complete the necessary activites/paperwork for JCAHO accreditation; offer a thorough program/training that will prepare our caregivers to offer the best care to our clients; and tosuccessfully implement skilled nursing services to our existing home care agency to betterImprove the Quality of Life of Those We Serve.
Stephanie has beenmarried for 13 years and has 2 children - 8 and 10 years old. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her children, participating in triathlons and other races, and is a member of a book club. She also does various volunteer work in the community and is a committee chair for her children's PTA.
