Partner Day Event
The North Shore Senior Center is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, who's highest priority is the older adult community. Their work is driven by our passion of serving seniors and their family members. Director of Marketing Lily Calder was pleased to address the Men's Club to share a bit about our flexible, customized services. Our status as an in-network vendor for the Veteran's Administration hospital system is always of special interest to this group.
We also had the opportunity to answer questions and provide resources for a number of individuals at the Center for a very exciting and well attended jewelry show and appraisal event.
Right at Home North Shore is a community partner providing respite care services through North Shore Senior Center for qualifying families living in Cook county. In addition, our sponsorship helps fund a range of family and senior support services including chore and meal assistance, and general case management.
We are grateful for the embarrassment of riches we have in the North Shore, so many of which are provided through the North Shore Senior Center. Balancing the need for socialization with the desire to remain at home as long as possible, adult day programming is a critical and cost effective piece of the plan of care for many families. Right at Home is proud to support such programs at the North Shore Senior Center, to the benefit of many of our neighbor clients. Full day supportive programming is available through House of Welcome. For those at the beginning of their journey with Alzheimer's or other dementias, Mind Matters offers support, activities, and family caregiver support services as well.
Owner Heather Lantry is especially happy to support fundraising efforts for the "Grandparents Raising Grandchildren" initiative. Heather moved in with her grandparents her senior year in high school when a job opportunity prompted a family move, and now sees her own parents raising her niece.
For families in crisis, North Shore Senior Center is a center for Adult Protective Services, which can step in to wrap families and seniors with services, support, and most importantly, choices.
