As a fully licensed home care agency in the State of Illinois, Right at Home is a qualifying provider under long term care insurance policies that include in-home care.

Claim Submissions

Our Right at Home Skokie office provides submission to your long-term care insurance provider free of charge for active clients with automatic payments from a bank account. Inactive clients and those clients without automatic payments will be billed $150 per month for long-term care submissions made on their behalf. We require the policy and claim number and all pertinent information regarding how and where to submit the information in order to make submissions on your behalf.

Opening a Claim

To receive compensation from your long-term care policy, you must open a claim with the provider. Please check your policy for information about the process your provider follows. This process typically includes a healthcare questionnaire to be completed and/or a nurse assessment. Typically, claims are only approved if the policy holder requires assistance with two or more activities of daily living (ADLs). These include ambulation and transfer, bathing, dressing and grooming, continence care, feeding assistance, and toileting.

Assignment of Benefit

Right at Home will consider accepting the assignment of benefit (i.e., payment directly from the insurance company) on a case-by-case basis and under the following circumstances: - Active client with autopay - A copy of the policy provided to Right at Home - Submissions made to insurance by Right at Home for six months or duration of policy spend down period, whichever is greater
