Tony Gagliano - Owner

Tony Gagliano lives on Long Island with his wife and two boys.  As the local owner and operator of Right at Home South Shore Long Island, he brings his unique life experience and family history to serve the elderly in his area. His mission is to provide family-focused home care services to improve the quality of life for those he serves.

After graduating Williams College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Tony played professional Hockey in Europe with France’s Brest Albatross and the Murrayfield Royals in Edinburgh Scotland. Upon returning to the States, he began his finance career with First NY Securities and traded stocks for the next 15 years.  He learned the fundamentals of running a business during that period of time, which led him to join JP Morgan Chase.

Four years later, Tony realized that the corporate world was not for him and began to consider entrepreneurship. His grandfather, Anthony, was battling Alzheimer’s disease at the time. While the family took care of his grandfather, they struggled in keeping him home. Tony's grandmother Josie on the other hand, received 24/7 in home care for a 7-year period, she aged in place gracefully and passed away at the age of 103.

Tony learned about the senior care industry through his sister Dr. Patricia Gagliano. Reflecting on his family’s experience with caring for his grandparents, he knows how important it is for seniors to live their lives in familiar surroundings with those they love as long as possible. As he researched the industry more in depth, Tony felt drawn to the concept of in home elder care.  He wanted to embark on a new career in which he could use his many years of business experience to truly help others in navigating difficult situations and improving the quality of life for all those involved.
