The Walk to End Alzheimer's in St. Charles, Missouri
Right at Home in St. Charles is advocating for those who have been affected by dementia by supporting the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. In 2015 more than 2,500 people walked the campus of St. Charles Community College. They were all there to raise awareness and support research for an Alzheimer’s disease cure. This year the walk is expected to exceed those numbers.
This summer staff members from Right at Home St. Charles stood outside local grocery stores and collected more $400 for the cause! The company also hosted a “Crystals for a Cure” networking event that featured Touchstone Crystal by Swarovski. Proceeds from jewelry sales were donated to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. These two efforts, along with donations from staff and visitors to the office, total more than $700.
The Right at Home Team is well on its way to a $1,000 goal for this year’s Walk on October 1. For more information about how you can help to end Alzheimer’s, contact Right at Home St. Charles or go directly to the local chapter site.
