Our Mission

Put simply, our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. Of course, we recognize that everyone’s idea of “quality of life” is different, which is why it’s so important to us to make you an active part of your own care plan. We want you to be in the driver’s seat regardless of any limitations or challenges you’re facing.

Most of all, we believe aging isn’t just about staying healthy, safe and independent. It’s also about living well.

Right at Home Sulphur Springs is locally owned and operated by Randy and Susan Price who both grew up in Texas. The Prices opened Right at Home in March of 2009 after they saw the fast-growing care needs of seniors in Northeast Texas. Having a father who had Lewy body dementia (an ugly combination of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases), Randy has firsthand experience with the challenges and joys of caring for those in need. Randy is also passionate about ‘caring for the caregiver’ as he has seen how essential encouraging and assisting the family caregivers who, without assistance, often experience dramatic decline while attempting to meet the growing needs of their loved one. Randy and Susan have continued to focus on and invest in their staff. This significant commitment to and investment in quality includes: very thorough pre-employment screening and drug testing, seasoned, professional staff who provide the essential local expertise, supervision, training and education, that dramatically affects the knowledge of their caregivers and the support that their clients and families need in the challenging times they face.

Prior to opening Right at Home, Randy and Susan served for 2 years as missionaries in Mexico. Previous to that, Randy worked in leadership roles in manufacturing for 17 years. Randy has a BA in Economics with a secondary emphasis in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He achieved accreditation as a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) from the Society of Senior Advisors in 2010, and has continued his education in elder care through training conferences and seminars.

Randy and Susan are grateful to have been married for 38 years and for their seven children, six in-laws and eight grandchildren! Randy and Susan are very involved and actively serve at Sylvania church in Tyler. The Prices moved to Northeast Texas in 1994 because they loved the area and the people. They consider it an honor and a privilege to serve the needs of those in Northeast Texas.

Free Wheelchair Mission

Globally, an estimated 70 million people with disabilities have no access to a wheelchair. Those who cannot walk must crawl or be carried to their destination. In collaboration with a network of like-minded partners, Free Wheelchair Mission has distributed more than 1 million wheelchairs to people with disabilities in 93 developing countries around the world, providing renewed dignity, independence and hope through the gift of mobility, at no cost to the recipient.

As an organization, our work with Free Wheelchair Mission began in 2016 as we looked for a partner that would help us further our mission of improving lives worldwide. To date, our team’s efforts have raised more than $400,000 that has funded over 5,000 wheelchairs, which were distributed through life-changing Vision Trips to Vietnam, Ecuador and Costa Rica.

Josiah’s House

Over half of the children living in the Dominican Republic live below the poverty line and can be found on the streets in at-risk surroundings in order to make money. Josiah’s House runs family-style homes that provide vulnerable boys and girls with the basic necessities, education, life skills, and family home atmosphere needed to succeed.

Recently, 70 Right at Home offices came together to support Josiah’s House by supplying everyday items for the children of Josiah’s House. The group delivered suitcases full of clothing, personal hygiene items, toys, and other supplies.
