Our Mission

Put simply, our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. Of course, we recognize that everyone’s idea of “quality of life” is different, which is why it’s so important to us to make you an active part of your own care plan. We want you to be in the driver’s seat regardless of any limitations or challenges you’re facing.

Most of all, we believe aging isn’t just about staying healthy, safe and independent. It’s also about living well.

Helping Clients and Families Focus on Their Future

Right at Home Temple is a locally owned and operated home care company serving the needs of seniors and adults with disabilities. Owner Spencer Robinson personally understands the needs of clients and their loved ones because of his history of family care. Spencer's experiences led him to in-home care so he could make a difference in the comfort and safety of seniors as they live their full lives, accomplishing their goals.

“I cared for both of my grandparents over the years while they lived in our family home, one with advanced Alzheimer’s. My grandmother passed away a couple months before COVID began, and she was able to pass in her home of over 30 years because she had some great caregivers that really became part of our family.”

Spencer knows through experience that communication, trust, and companionship are keys to helping clients thrive in their homes. “A favorite quote of mine really says it all. ‘Everyone is searching for a house, but a supportive family builds a home.’ My goal and purpose is to be part of that supportive family for clients and their loved ones. Now is the time to start talking about living.”

Wanting to make a positive impact in people’s lives, Spencer turned to a close friend and colleague Trung Giang who has an in-home care business in Waco. Trung shared his personal success and growth as the owner of Right at Home Waco. “After talking with Trung, I knew more than ever that opening Right at Home Temple was going to be the way I could make a difference in my community.”

Spencer has an MBA from Baylor University in Waco, TX. Before opening Right at Home Temple, he was at Abbott Laboratories working in the heart failure division. The company's products provide top-of-the-line, life-saving treatments that offer individuals immediate relief from a variety of conditions. Working with a ‘bird’s eye view’ of helping people, Spencer felt a calling to provide first-hand care in the community.

Why Spencer Chose to Provide In-Home Care

Right at Home Temple's owner Spencer Robinson shares his personal story of family and caregiving, and how that inspired him. He learned first hand the importance of caregiving and that "everyone is searching for a house, but a supportive family builds a home." Our goal and purpose is to be part of that supportive family for clients as they build a home. Let's start talking about living.

Our Philanthropy

Globally, an estimated 70 million people with disabilities have no access to a wheelchair. Those who cannot walk must crawl or be carried to their destination. In collaboration with a network of like-minded partners, Free Wheelchair Mission has distributed more than 1 million wheelchairs to people with disabilities in 93 developing countries around the world, providing renewed dignity, independence and hope through the gift of mobility, at no cost to the recipient.

As an organization, Right at Home's work with Free Wheelchair Mission began in 2016 as the company looked for a partner that would help us further our mission of improving lives worldwide. To date, the Right at Home team's efforts have raised more than $400,000 that has funded over 5,000 wheelchairs, which were distributed through life-changing Vision Trips to Vietnam, Ecuador and Costa Rica.
