Our People
Here at Right at Home, we're dedicated to being much more than a franchise company. We are the navigator of what comes next for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our mission has always been to improve the quality of life for those we serve. That means it's always about the people we serve, and our dedicated local owners and their professional teams work tirelessly to care for clients. Though we make sure our franchises live and breathe our mission every day, we recognize that it starts with our corporate team.
These are the people who work behind the scenes to bring you and your loved ones the highest caliber of in-home care.

My belief is that Right at Home is all about people and I love people! There are so many things to be excited about. And being able to provide families with an option to keep their loved ones in their homes where they want to be is top of the list. Being in a position to provide an employment opportunity for amazing people to make a difference in their communities as caregivers or support staff is something that just magnifies the excitement I feel about Right at Home.
I chose home care as a career path because of the people and community aspect of the business. I was an accountant working for a firm that mainly serviced municipalities, fire departments and police stations across the state. I had the opportunity to see the impact that our first responders were able to make in their communities. I thought that home care was a way to prevent the need for a "first response" or at a minimum to expedite the response. If Right at Home can help care for people and spend more time with them we may be able to get out in front of potential problems in the future. Our seniors have done so much for their families and our community and I couldn't think of a better way to do something for them!
I connect with people through shared experience. I start by listening, the lord gave me two ears and one mouth for a reason. Once I know what the most important thing to the person or family I am connecting with, I can work with them on a plan that will achieve those goals. Once the action plan is in place I share in that journey with the person or family by staying engaged. I have found that this approach leads to trust and communication. With trust and communication anything can be achieved.
A few of my hobbies include gardening, cooking, reading, and running. I am generally an outdoor type of person that loves being active. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and two children. We love having family movie nights and playing outside.

Staffing Coordinator and Scheduler
I was born and raised in Illinois and have lived in the St. Charles area since 1995. I did not meet my soul mate now my husband until later in life as I was 41 when we married. There is a funny story about how we met. It was on an annual camping trip that both of us have gone on many times. It's quite possible that we had been there at the same time and we just did not know each other then. We were introduced by a mutual friend and now my sister-in-law. We joined our families in May 2001, his two daughters and my son. We now have 5 wonderful grandchildren and 6 grand dogs.
People have always told me that I have a big heart and great at taking care of everyone. My past position of 16 years was in HR and payroll. I was always the go-to person whether it be the name of someone, a phone number, the date of a certain event, I always had the answers. After taking care of my mother whom had two brain surgeries, my mother-in-law with cancer and my hubby after several surgeries, a mutual friend of many years told me to call his buddy at Right at Home. In May of 2014, I started with Right at Home as a caregiver.
After being in the field with clients and spending some of my time in the office for a bit, I gave up my role as a caregiver and moved to the office recruiting new caregivers and filling schedules for our clients. I truly enjoy speaking with our clients, hearing their stories and helping them. It is heartwarming to know that we can put a smile on their face and help to brighten their day!

Originally from Michigan, I moved to Illinois in 1999 where I met my husband and have been happily married for over 11 years. We have two adorable and special German Shepherd mixes named Bandit and Bear. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading books, bike riding and watching comedy movies. I love to find new places to dine since I was not blessed with a single cooking gene.
Working with Right at Home to assist the disabled and elderly has been a life fulfilling journey. I started as a scheduler before all the high tech gadgets, cell phone reminders, on-call assistance, etc. and was able to see how much care and assistance can impact the lives of many. It is very humbling to help an elderly person and brighten their day, to listen to their stories of days gone by, and to know that someday I may need help too. I find it an honor and privilege to meet veterans that have fought for our country to give us the liberties we have now and that some take for granted. I value and appreciate how our services can impact the lives of many family members and give a little relief to everyday challenges that occur when a family member is ill or at end of life. Our work makes a huge difference in the lives of others. As I age myself, I realize that life can change in a moment and we need to make the most of each day.
