Your Career as a Caregiver

A Note about COVID-19

Now, more than ever, it’s clear how essential caregivers really are. The people we serve rely on our caregivers, not just for companionship during a time of isolation, but also for assistance with their basic needs. Without dedicated caregivers, many seniors and adults with disabilities would be left with little support. You can make all the difference.

When you become a caregiver, no day will ever be exactly the same as the last. No matter what type of caregiving you provide, you will always have a wide variety of duties and experiences.

And that’s important to us.

Caregivers are the heart of our organization. We know our company couldn’t exist without you, which is why it’s so important to us to keep your passion strong and to ensure your needs are met.  Right at Home West Covina provides flexibility to any potential caregiver that would like to work with us by providing them with Part-time jobs. However full-time workers receive the following benefits. Medical, dental, vision, and the opportunity to increase your skill level. To qualify for full-time, employees must work a minimum of 30 hours plus per week.

Read more below about the unique positions we offer, along with the training and support we provide to every Right at Home caregiver.

Our View On Caregiving

Caregiving is not just about the cleaning and medicine reminders, the appointment rides or running errands, it’s also about companionship, it’s about the bond a caregiver and a clients can make. With California being one of the most diverse states it’s no surprise that both our clients and caregivers would be any different. For us there is no greater joy than when our clients find out their caregivers, their future close companions, share the same language and/or cultural background they have. That they can have someone close, who they can relate to on different levels. We pride ourselves on being able to serve all our communities in our territories so if you are interested in being a part of it, whether as a client looking for someone you can relate to or a caregiver looking for a workplace that reminds you of home, call us at: (213) 863-7207

Work-Life Balance

Summer has arrived and it's time to make the most of the sunny days and warm weather with your loved ones. At Right at Home, we understand the importance of a good work-life balance, which is why we encourage our staff to take time off when needed. Whether it's a weekend getaway or a family vacation, we want our employees to enjoy their time off and come back recharged and ready to provide the best care possible for our clients. All we ask is for advance notice to process the request, inform the client, and train a replacement caregiver.

We know our staff takes great care of our clients and it's important they take a much-needed break when scheduled ahead of time.
