Our People
Here at Right at Home, we're dedicated to being much more than a franchise company. We are the navigator of what comes next for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our mission has always been to improve the quality of life for those we serve. That means it's always about the people we serve, and our dedicated local owners and their professional teams work tirelessly to care for clients. Though we make sure our franchises live and breathe our mission every day, we recognize that it starts with our corporate team.
These are the people who work behind the scenes to bring you and your loved ones the highest caliber of in‑home care.

Like so many people, I was directly affected by the Covid19 pandemic when both my parents contracted the virus in 2021 and were seriously ill. My parents live in Houston, Texas and although my brother lives only minutes away, it was too much for him to provide the care that they needed while working and caring for his own young family. He called me for help. I purchased a plane ticket right away and hours later touched down in Houston prepared to stay with my parents and provide 24-hour care.
This was when I realized that even though families live in the same town, they do not always have the ability to provide the level of care their loved ones need as they age. The happy ending to this story is that my parents both recovered and are back to life as normal and I am forever changed. It hit me on the plane ride back home to Maine that this probably would not be the last time my parents need help from my brother and me.
We both agree that the best place for them is in their home as long possible. I began to think about the senior adults in my community and wondered who will be there to take care of them if they need care. After a conversation with my sister-in-law Sharon Weeden, who owns a Right at Home in Tallahassee, Florida, I decided to Right at Home could help me be a part of caring for seniors in my community. Their people centered care and business model appealed to me and I felt like I could live their mission to help improve the quality of life of those we serve.
I am excited to be opening my business and look forward to serving the great people who live in the Central Maine area where I have made my home for the last 15 years. I know exactly what it feels like to want badly to be able to take care of a loved one and to be either too far away or to have commitments to your immediate family that you cannot easily put aside. I am happy to step in and care for your loved ones like I would want my loved ones cared for.
