Summerfield Senior Men Coffee & Conversation
This group meets the first Thursday of each month at Summerfield Community Center, 5404 Centerfield Road from 9:00 am - 10:30 am and the third Thursday of each month at Summerfield First Baptist, 2300 Scalesville Road, Summerfield NC 27358 from 9:00 am - 10:30 am.
Seniors' Health Insurance Information Program
The Seniors' Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) answers questions and counsels Medicare beneficiaries and caregivers about Medicare, Medicare supplements, Medicare Advantage, Medicare prescription drug plans, long-term care insurance and other health insurance concerns. SHIIP counselors offer free and unbiased counseling on Medicare health care products. This service is now available at Summerfield First Baptist Church. To schedule an appointment at this location, call Bob Boyd, the Guilford County SHIIP Coordinator, at 336-373-4816 ext. 253.
Summerfield Community Park
Summerfield Community Park provides numerous recreational opportunities for the community, including walking and biking trails, playgrounds, picnic shelters, exercise stations, fishing, and an outdoor amphitheater for community events.
Movies-in-the-Park September/October
Spend the night under the stars and in front of the big screen. This free, family-friendly event is held at the Summerfield Community Park amphitheater. Bring a picnic basket, blanket, and your friends, family, and neighbors and enjoy a movie in the park. All movies begin at dusk. Light refreshments are available.
