Dr. Donald Doran, JR, DO - Owner

The Mississippi Gulf Coast Right at Home office is owned by Dr. Donald Doran. Dr. Doran has been practicing medicine for over 40 years. Much of it in Emergency Room and Family Medicine. It was during these years Dr. Doran recognized something missing from the recovery time in his patients lives.

The care they didn't receive at home after a hospital stay, or their transitional care, was lacking. Inadequate transitional, or in-home, care which assisted the patient in returning to their day-to-day and routine activities was nearly non-existent. Patients were often re-admitted or illness was recurring due to a lack of assistance in the home. Many patients weren't encouraged to gradually resume their daily lives, or had no assistance in doing so. There was no one to monitor medicines, and to ensure patients were able to get to their doctors for follow-up appointments.

Dr. Doran researched agencies that could fulfill these basic patient needs and found Right at Home. The care provided by Right at Home was all of the things he wanted for his patients. Senior citizen patients were, through the care provided by Right at Home, allowed to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible. Patients are transported to and from appointments, whether they be medical, recreational, or just running errands. And other patients received assistance in-home while continuing on their road to recovery while the families of patients have complete peace of mind their loved ones were being taken care of.

Liberty Fontana-Dubuisson - Owner/Operator

Liberty is responsible for the smooth operation of the day-to-day business of the company. Liberty's 35 years of experience makes it possible for other people to function efficiently.

Liberty has been a caregiver in some capacity all her life, starting in her teens by caring for her grandmother, Rosalie who had Dementia with her ADL’s and companionship, to opening her heart and home to the military families on Ft. Benning by operating a Family Child Care Home. Liberty moved back to the Mississippi coast in 2004 and shortly after began working with Dr. Doran in his family practice clinic, hiried on as office manager, later receiving her certificate as Physician Office Assistant from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. In clinic is where Liberty’s passion for caring for seniors and disabled adults was rekindled. In 2006 Liberty’s husband had a heart attack at the age 38 and her father was diagnosed with stage 4b Lung Cancer. While caring for her husband and father, Liberty learned firsthand how hard, trying, and taxing it is to be a family member caregiver. After the loss for her father in 2011, Liberty teamed up with her mentor and friend, Dr. Doran to open Right at Home of South Mississippi with the goal to help not just the seniors and disabled adults of South Mississippi, but the families of the seniors and disabled adults.

Emerald Miles - Lead Caregiver

I came to Right at Home August 2013 looking for a CNA position. I was willing to learn and grow within the company and here I am 10 years later. Over the years, I have gained experience in working with challenging clients. Helping clients with their basic needs when they are unable to is rewarding. It takes a self-motivated and dedicated person to be able to work as a CNA and enjoy what you do. Most clients say it can be the little things you do that matter the most.

The most challenging part about working as a CNA/caregiver would be seeing a client decline, change in behavior and end of life care. The admin staff has been so supportive in making sure we are emotionally and physically okay when dealing with grief and the risk of burnout.

Overall, I love working with my clients and what I do. I will continue to learn new ways for them to enjoy care from Right at Home.

Lorie Norris - Caregiver

My name is Lorie. I have been married for 26 years with 2 children who are my world. I am the oldest of 4 siblings. I quickly became the protector of them throughout grade school and onward. Learning to raise them and navigate my own trials, paved a road for me to become the woman I have today. I dropped out of high school in 10th grade at my parents’ request and worked in a local fast-food restaurant at the age of 16. Years later I worked to get my G.E.D. and later graduated college with a degree in Massage Therapy with a 4.0 GPA. I'm skilled in many things from martial arts to singing, I've learned to prepare tiered cakes and yummy desserts from my years of co-ownership of a bakery. I'm 100% undefeated in MAD GAB (true story!) and I have a thirst for knowledge. I really enjoy learning things. Currently I am teaching myself to speak Thai. My biggest dream is to visit Thailand one day and enjoy their scenery and immerse myself in their culture. That will be the beginning of my journey to see ALL the waterfalls of the world. I have embraced the music of the world. I love listening to new music from artists or bands that I have yet to discover. I joined the Right at Home team four years ago for the needs of a friend. I wanted to be a person she could rely on. My scope of ability in care has increased significantly with the help of the office team and team leader. I plan for many more years of service with my team from Right at Home.

Kira Kalinauskas - Caregiver

Hello, my name is Kira Kalinauskas. Why have I chosen to make Caregiving my career? Well, that’s simple I am a Caregiver by nature. I love taking care of others, especially the elderly. That started with my grandmother-in- law.

She came to live with us, and I made it my job to ensure that she had the care she deserved. Over the past 5 years working for Right at Home my love a passion for my clients has grown 10 times. They are part of my family and I always make sure they are treated as such. It’s my mission to make sure every client has the care they are entitled to and deserve. I think of it this way how would I want to be taken care of if I were in their shoes? And that is the care and love each client gets with me.

Liz Collins - Caregiver

My name is Liz Collins, and I am a caregiver with Right at Home for the past year and a half. Originally from Ohio, I moved to MS a little over 3 years ago with my husband and our dogs. In 2016 I became a CNA and started my journey into healthcare. A few years later after taking care of my wonderful father as he lost his battle with lung cancer, I decided to take a little break from being a caregiver. When I was ready to get back into what I do best, Right at Home was the way to go. After speaking to Wendy initially I knew this was the place for me. I love that if I ever have a problem, big or small, these ladies in the office are more than willing to jump right in and help in any way possible. Wendy, Shyanne, and Samantha are a big part of what makes it so great to work for Right at Home. The other part being the clients. I truly love helping others. Being able to make someone's life that much easier makes being a caregiver worthwhile.

Tommie Gauthreaux - Caregiver

Hi, my name is Tommie Gauthreaux. I was hired with Right at Home in September 2022, and I am truly honored to be a part of the Right at Home family. When I was hired on, I was looking for a change in my life. I knew in my heart it was the best choice because I would get to help people who truly needed it. Without the people within the company, I couldn’t have done it. They are here for any questions or concerns we may have. I have always wanted to work with a company that has the same compassion I have to help and care for people, and I have found just that. I would like to thank you all so much for letting me be caregiver of the year for 2023. I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds. Thank you all for the opportunity to be part of this company and family. I will continue to give my all.
