Caregiver of the Month

Schneider joined the team in June 2023 and has been a wonderful addition to our team. Schneider walked through the door with a smile on his face and has not stopped smiling since. He stays busy with his family during the day and spends overnight with one of our clients that needs extra support in the evening. He is always dependable and family knows that when Schneider is on the schedule, he will show up ready to help with a positive attitude and caring demeanor. The family shared, that Schneider is so kind and a real family man. He is so conscious of cleanliness and makes sure that the client is clean and dry all night. Even when the client is difficult, he always is kind and so sweet. When he went on vacation, he told the family he thought about them the entire time. Schneider has provided comfort to the client by rubbing his head and even calls him “Poppa”. Schneider really takes care for our clients seriously and treats them like they are his own family.

Filia joined the team in January 2020 and has been a wonderful addition to our team. Filia has helped many families over the years. She is a wonderful advocate for her clients and keeps the office in the loop if there are any changes. She takes care of the client like it is her own family member and makes sure that the other caregivers do the same. She has been a consistent caregiver for her current client as a live-in caregiver for the past six months and has never called out of a shift. She has such a vibrant and fun personality which is a true joy for the office team and client’s that work with her. We are so lucky to have her on our team. When we let the family know about Filia’s award, they felt it was wonderful news and Filia certainly deserves the recognition. The family shared, “She is extremely reliable and has a wonderful attitude. She always has a smile on her face and never gets upset or frustrated when with my mother. Venecia joined the team in October 2018 and has been a wonderful addition to our team. Venecia is a dependable and valued member of the team. She is always ready to pick up a shift and each time she does, the clients rave about her. Clients consistently talk about her warmth as she takes care of her clients as if they are her own family member. She has a positive and bright demeanor which can be helpful, especially with more difficult clients who may be experiencing dementia or other issues. She is competent and we know that every client will be well taken care of if Venecia is involved. We are so lucky to have her on our team. Currently, Venecia is working with the same client for over a year and has been with the family through a lot. This family was ecstatic to find out that she won this award. Janeth joined the team in July 2014 and has worked consistently with different clients over the years. It is no small thing to have worked consistently in Home Care.  Janeth is extremely caring and able to figure out just what will make each client happy.  Whether she is with a client she has known for a long time, or filling just for the day, she is able to read her client very well, knowing what is important to them and how to make their day pleasant.  Janeth is a consummate professional with a happy disposition and a heart of gold.  We are so lucky to have her on our team!  Over the years, Janeth has had several clients and every single one she has helped has spoken fondly about Janeth’s warmth and compassion. Janeth currently has been a reliable and caring companion to her current client for many months. She always makes sure the client is getting to her appointments and is comfortable throughout the day. Congratulations Mirlande! Mirlande joined the team in August of 2019 and has made a lasting impact on her client and the family since she arrived. Mirlande has been a dedicated and reliable employee from the start. All of our client’s really feel the love and care when they are working with Mirlande. Mirlande recently took care of client toward the end of her life and attended the wake to pay her respects to the family. The family was eager to share, “Mom always said that Mimi was sweet and caring. When we would tell Mom that Mimi was coming, she would always whisper ‘I like her’. Mimi was always very patient with Mom as she repeatedly asked for her name when she arrived. Beyond the basic care required, Mimi took extra time to make sure that Mom was comfortable and helped to relax her. And she made tea for Mom just the way she liked it. We were very happy that Mimi was able to take care of Mom for us. It made us happy to know that Mom was being cared for by a Friend who truly cared for her.”

Congratulations Roselin! Roselin joined the Right At Home team in January of 2022 and has been instrumental in caring for several live in clients ever since.  Roselin brings a wealth of experience to this caregiving role and it shows in the care she has been providing for the clients.  Roselin was able to learn the exercises from the PT/OT for one of her clients and encourage her to regularly complete them and help her get stronger.  Roselin has even tried to teach one of the clients how to knit while she was working with her!  Roselin's bright energy has helped to ensure the families are confident that their loved one is well cared for during her shifts.

Congratulations Sarah! Sarah has been with Right At Home since December 2013. Throughout the years, we have never received a complaint about Sarah & she has worked 5 days a week every week for 9 years! That’s a lot of shifts! Her clients family members noted how patient and kind she has been with her mom during a difficult transition in an assisted living facility. Sarah has regularly encouraged her client to attend activities which has helped to keep her as active as possible. Sarah has also developed a sociable relationship with her client’s family and regularly keeps them updated on her day to day activities.

Congratulations Travis! Travis has been with Right At Home since November 2020. Congratulations to Donna! Donan is May’s Caregiver of the Month! She goes above and beyond to provide outstanding care for her client. As a live-in caregiver donna handles tough day to day dementia care with kindness and wisdom.  Our client's family has complimented Donna's care for their Dad. She provides loving care and is able to redirect her client when his Dementia requires her to do so! When the weather permits, Donna makes every effort to take her client outside for a walk so as not to spend all day inside.

Congratulations to Claudette B! Claudette is March’s Caregiver of the Month! Claudette has worked in the elder care field for many years and started with Right at Home in 2016. Her vast experience has been a godsend for the clients she works with.

She is knowledgeable, caring, compassionate and always reliable. Claudette provides exemplary personal care as well as the social stimulation needed to help those in her care to thrive. Claudette is observant and reports any changes in her client’s condition to our Comprehensive Care Team to ensure the right level of care at the right time.
