Right at Home Nassau Suffolk along with Central Island Health Care and Russo Law Group, P.C., are sponsoring a Continuing Education workshop on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Sunrise Senior Living of Plainview. The topic for the workshop is Motivational Interviewing: A Therapeutic Change Model.
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a person-centered intervention style aimed at resolving ambivalence about change. MI can also be described as a collaborative 'conversation' style for strengthening a person's own motivation and commitment to change. Participants will explore what can motivate a client to change and factors that need to be present for effective motivational intervention.
