Caregiver Recognition
At Right at Home Northwest Orange County, we greatly appreciate our wonderful caregivers for all of their hard work. In recognition of their achievements we began the caregiver of the month program. The criteria we use to pick the monthly winner includes: (1) Time & Attendance (those that are always on time and never call off shifts without a good reason or without proper notice) (2) Customer and Peer Reviews (receive positive feedback from clients they care for and from their care teams) (3) Availability to work (be willing to pick up extra shifts on short notice) and (4) Communication & Notes (be accurate and diligent with your care notes, incident reports and verbal communication with office, clients and families).
We wish we could recognize all of them, and every month we have difficult decisions to make! Thank you!

Kelly T
August 2020
We are thrilled to announce Kelly TenBerge as our caregiver of the month! Kelly has proven to be a treasure for our clients with dementia. Some of her clients are very difficult to care for because of their cognitive condition. One client in particular, had repeatedly refused physical therapy but Kelly was able to convince them to reconsider. She has helped accomplish better nutritional goals and quickly learned how to ensure adequate protein, low carb/sugar meal plans. In addition, she manages her clients care even though she spends less than 2 hours with her per shift. Lastly, the family of our client was planning on moving them to an assisted living, but due to COVID-19 and that Kelly’s exceptional care, they decided against it. Thank you Kelly!
Elizabeth C.
July 2020
We are proud to announce Elizabeth Castillo as our caregiver of the month! When she first joined our office two years ago, she had little experience caregiving. Due to her compassion, talent, and willingness to learn she quickly developed into a superstar for our team. She is currently on two of our more complicated cases. Each of these cases are difficult to staff because they require a lot of training and patience. She is caring and not scared to walk into new things She picks up last minute shifts for us and has proven to be reliable for our care team and our clients We are lucky to have her.
Congratulations!
Congratulations!

Ena R.
February 2020
We are thrilled to announce that Ena Rodriguez is our caregiver of the month for February.
Ena is someone that our team and clients can consistently depend on. Ena proved to be a great patient advocate when her client began complaining about an abdominal pain this month and hospice continued to provide her with medications that proved to be ineffective. Ena spoke to the office and the family about the change of conditions numerous times. Her advocacy on behalf of her client ultimately led to the discovery that her client had broken ribs.
Ena’s exceptional efforts are an inspiration to us all and reminds us why we do the work that we do. Thank you.

Cesar F.
January 2020
We are thrilled to announce that Cesar F. is Right at Home's caregiver of the month for January.
While walking into his shift this month, Cesar checked on his client and realized he had passed away. Without any prior experiences with end of life care, Cesar calmly notified the family that their loved one had passed. Cesar was with this client when he started his hospice journey and followed him into his last days. He made it possible for this gentleman to be able to pass in the comfort of his own home.
Since joining Right at Home, Cesar has demonstrated a willingness to learn and an ability to work with difficult clients. Cesar is currently providing care for one of our most complicated personal care cases. Furthermore, Cesar has received positive feedback from clients, he is always on time, and helps the staff and our clients in tight spots by picking up last minute shifts. Special thank you to fellow caregiver Darryl P. for referring Cesar to Right at Home.
