Recognizing Depression in Seniors

Currently there are 6.5 million people over the age of 65 years old that struggle with depression. This presentation will help other recognize when someone is depressed. In addition, there will be a discussion for how to recognize common behaviors of depression, resources to contact, and how you can help someone who is struggling with depression. Although this is a sensitive subject to discuss, it will empower others to help their loved ones, diminish the stigma that surrounds mental health, and take a holistic approach to a healthier lifestyle.
