"To Improve the Quality of Life for Those We Serve"

Edwin Young | Owner, Right at Home San Marcos

Edwin Young, Owner of Right at Home Austin, Marble Falls, San Marcos, Brenham, and Bastrop, Texas

Edwin opened Right at Home San Marcos to support the many seniors, families, and adults with disabilities in San Marcos and surrounding communities. Edwin established his first office, Right at Home Austin, after his grandmother told him she didn't want to go into a nursing home or other assisted living facility. His grandmother needed help, but only wanted to live independently and be cared for in her home. He believed many seniors, and their families, must feel the same way. Right at Home works with various healthcare providers and families to provide homecare that makes life a little less complicated for all family members involved. Edwin is heavily involved in the daily activities to make sure your family is treated with the care they deserve.

Edwin graduated from UNT and spent over 20 years working with companies such as Dial and GE. Edwin is also a Certified Senior Advisor. Homecare in Austin, Marble Falls, San Marcos, Brenham, and Bastrop is an important part of the healthcare support system and, as Edwin puts it, "We are working hard to increase the quality of care our clients receive each and every day."

Kate VanBenthuysen | Administrator

Kate VanBenthuysen

Kate was born and raised in Central Minnesota before moving to Missouri for college. She graduated from William Woods University with her Bachelor’s Degree and moved down to Texas. After the move, Kate began working for Texas Health & Human Services where she determined eligibility for Medicaid programs. Though she found joy in helping people, it was heartbreaking to deny seniors who were unable qualify for the programs.

Knowing she wanted to do more for seniors, Kate left the State position and began working for Right at Home as the Marble Falls General Manager. Her favorite part of the new position was being hands on helping our seniors and their loved ones navigate the path of aging and needing additional care. With a lot of hard work and dedication she took the small satellite office and quickly grew it into a thriving branch. In March 2019, Kate was promoted to Right at Home’s Administrator, managing the office operations for the Austin West, San Marcos, Brenham, and Marble Falls offices. Her business philosophy focuses around teamwork and customer service, making her a great leader for the team. When Kate is not running around the office, she stays busy raising her 5 children and step children with the help of her husband. Together they love all things outdoors and spending lots of time on the highland lakes!

Anna Rose | Director of Partnership Development

Anna Rose

I am the Director of Partnership Development for Right at Home covering Austin, Marble Falls, Brenham, and San Marcos. Before making my transition to working with seniors at Right at Home, I worked with children on the Autism spectrum at an ABA therapy clinic. In both roles, I’ve had the opportunity to exercise my passion of helping families connect to the services and resources they need to support their loved ones through often difficult decisions and life changing transitions. I know how important it is to trust and feel confident in those you make referrals to, so I take every referral from our community partners to heart. Myself and the team at Right at Home promise to always do the absolute most that we can to provide high quality care to our clients and to create positive experiences to our clients, their families, and the other companies involved in their care. My mission is to be a reliable go-to-girl for not only Right at Home’s in-home caregiving services, but also to help navigate and connect professionals and families to other resources seniors may need. It truly takes a village to provide the best care possible for seniors, and our community's collaboration and teamwork is essential for in caring for and supporting our seniors.

Jillian Tipp | Intake Specialist

My name is Jillian Tipp and I am from Edmond Oklahoma but moved to Texas in 2016; when I was 15 years old. I have been the Intake Specialist for Right at Home since March 2023. Before my transition to working with Right at Home, I was a nanny to two of the sweetest kids that recently served as a flower girl and ring bearer in my wedding earlier this March. One of the kids has a rare disease called “CHARGE” syndrome. This led me to learning how to care for him using all of his medical equipment including a feeding tube, oxygen tank, NEB and so much more. I was there to help this family through tough times including sleepless nights, ER visits and multiple surgeries. In both roles, I have gotten the privilege to help others in a time of need and make a difference in multiple ways. I have learned so much during my time working for Right at Home and I am so thankful. I am also grateful for the team I get to work with and the lives we are changing every day. Being the intake specialist for Right at Home, I personally get to connect with our clients and see the caregivers we hire work their magic on a daily basis. This is my “why” and my favorite part of the job.
