Caregiver Spotlight – Lainie
Lainie has been with us for 4 months, but it feels like we were the perfect fit forever! Her clients compliment her every day and described Lainie as amazing, reliable, and enjoyable at talking with them. She helps changing Client’s mood and makes them feel happy, but what she appreciates the most is the connections, this unique click with a client, get to know them, hearing their stories about their childhoods.
Lainie is very upbeat, positive, ambitious, and all around amazing for the people she cares for! She loves to cook and eating sweets, but we cannot believe all candy in the world can equal how sweet she is!
Lainie advices to new generations of caregivers to be patient, not only with clients but with life in general, because genuine connections, appreciation and trust take time, but the reward is the best part of it.
Caregiver Spotlight – Rebecca
Allow us to introduce Rebecca—one of our most recent team members and, indeed, one of our most cherished assets! When they’re not on duty, they delight in playful interactions with their furry companions. Two dogs and a cat keep them company, and those moments of playfulness bring pure bliss. As a devoted Cowboys fan, game days ignite their spirit. The cheers, the adrenaline—it feels like being part of something greater. Now, picture this: a bag of Flamin’ Hot Lays. The fiery spice satisfies their cravings like nothing else.
One of their fondest memories is creating bonds that transcends. Their motivation stems from treating clients as if they were beloved grandparents. The knowledge that they’re making a difference warms their heart.
To new caregivers, they offer this advice: Take your job seriously. Treat clients with respect, compassion, and kindness—it’s the very essence of caregiving. Since joining Right at Home, they’ve discovered that patience is a precious virtue. It blossoms among challenges and compassion.
Rebecca is our San Marcos Caregiver of the month because they are very driven and always willing to lend a helping hand, puts love into every task, and rumors say they make best sandwiches in town!
