A Helping Hand When Tragedy Strikes

During December, Right at Home Slidell offered a helping hand to a Veteran client and his brother who experienced tragedy when their home was destroyed by fire, losing everything. We helped let the community know one of its members was in need, and then acted as a drop off site for donations. Generous donors provided many items like clothing, toiletries, dishes, food, and even a dining table set!

Mr. Davis and his brother recently found a new home! We delivered all the collected donations to him, and he and his brother were very appreciative of the community's generosity. Thank you to everyone who stepped up to help in this time of tragedy, during the holidays no less. Right at Home Slidell is proud to be part of such a caring and thoughtful community.
