By taking care of my dad

What is the most memorable/rewarding experience in your caregiving career?
My client is happy when I get to work to help give them a shower, seeing how happy they are to see that I am there to help is rewarding

To see my client happy when I get to work
What do you do in your spare time?
I like to go shopping

When the clients tell me that they appreciate me for my kindness and calm personality

To feel appreciated

I like to go to the park with my children and take them out to dinner.

Because I provide care for elderly people

What is the most memorable/rewarding experience in your caregiving career?
I had a client that he didn't want to walk four years ago and I began to do exercises with him. Six months later he was back to walk without help.
What gives you the greatest satisfaction at work?
Make my patients comfortable, safe and happy.
What do you do in your spare time?
I like to read books and go to the gym.

I was born in White Plains, NY, raised in Mamaroneck and a longtime resident of New Rochelle.

Taking care of a relative
What is the most memorable/rewarding experience in your caregiving career?
Taking my experience to help someone in need feel as good as they possibly can considering what they are going throug, how much they are appreciated and thankful for my help.

When someone has gotten through their day.

Relax, enjoy grandkids and husband

Where are you from?
Russia
What was your first job?
In Russia I was assistant to producer in Georgian Film Study. In New York, I worked in Mercy College and College of New Rochelle.
How did you get into senior care?
By nature I love to help! After semi-retirement, I have been offered a companion position to a very sweet lady. This experience gave me a start to a new career.
What is the most memorable/rewarding experience in your caregiving career?
To know that I was selected for employee of the month.
What gives you the greatest satisfaction at work?
The opportunity to positively make an impact on someone's life. Genuinely show kindness.
What do you do in your spare time?
Travel
Melissa Cirillo, Director of Operations: "Galina has been with RAH for few years now and has made the world of a difference with her client who suffers with severe Alzheimers. Client now has begun eating and has gained weight. Galina has made such an improvement with this clients social well-being, she now shows expression and says a few words and smiles. It's caregivers like Galina who make a difference in clients' lives."

I remember the first time I worked with a resident when I finished my shift and said goodbye, both husband and wife said you are a very good woman please come back to us.

Keep smiling and ask God for continued patience.

I like to cook, read and travel.

I used to care for my mom in Jamaica, she died at 99 years of age.

My most memorable experience is having my client say how satisfied they are with my care.
