Tell me about your experience as a caregiver.
My experience as a caregiver has been one that I hold dear to my heart and one I didn’t expect. It can be scary for our clients to have new caregivers come into their home. That’s why it is important to build trust. I can tell my clients trust me and it makes working with them much easier. My clients have become more than clients-they have become part of my family.
Why do you choose to work with Right at Home?
There are many caregiving companies and I chose Right at home due to it being independently owned. The day I walked in they were moving offices. As busy as they were both Star and Jennifer both stopped what they were doing and greeted me. I knew then-Right at Home was the place for me.
What's the most rewarding thing about being a caregiver?
The most rewarding part of being a caregiver is the relationships I am able to build with my clients. The smiles on their face when doing these things keeps me coming back. And honestly I would be there every day if I could.
What's the most difficult part about it?
The most difficult part of caregiving is that we don’t always work as a team. I feel in order to be successful we all need to be in the same page. We are all there for the same reasons.
Tell me something interesting about you that's not about being a caregiver!
Something interesting-lol... I have traveled to Belize and rode horses in the rainforest. My goal is to go to Africa and meet the little one my family sponsors there.
Favorite food?
Although it looks like I don’t eat much, I love real Mexican food!
