Comprehensive Caregiver Training
At Right at Home Wilmington, we prioritize thorough and practical training for our caregivers. Our training environment is designed to mimic a real home, ensuring that our caregivers are prepared for every aspect of in-home care. Our comprehensive training program includes:
- Bathing Assistance: Teaching caregivers how to safely and respectfully assist clients with bathing.
- Dressing and Grooming: Training in helping clients maintain their personal hygiene and appearance.
- Creating a Safe Environment: Ensuring caregivers can identify and mitigate potential hazards in the home to keep clients safe.
- Proper Transfer Assistance and Mobility: Educating caregivers on safe techniques for helping clients move around their home, including getting in and out of beds, chairs, and other furniture.
Special Training Techniques
All our caregivers are trained by our Positive Approach to Care Certified Independent Trainer in Positive Physical Approach and Hand-Under-Hand techniques. These specialized methods are essential for providing compassionate and effective care, particularly for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments. By equipping our caregivers with these skills, we ensure they are capable of delivering the highest standard of care with empathy and professionalism.
