Our Mission

Put simply, our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. Of course, we recognize that everyone’s idea of “quality of life” is different, which is why it’s so important to us to make you an active part of your own care plan. We want you to be in the driver’s seat regardless of any limitations or challenges you’re facing.

Most of all, we believe aging isn’t just about staying healthy, safe and independent. It’s also about living well.

Right at Home Edwardsville

Owner Dave Eustis

Right at Home of Edwardsville, serving Southwestern Illinois, is locally owned and operated by David Eustis. His purpose is simple, to provide the very best in-home care for the elderly, and others in need, within Madison, Monroe and St. Clair counties in Illinois.

This is accomplished by:

  • Recruiting, training and developing quality Caregivers who share our vision for excellence in service to our clients
  • Discussing and understanding our client's specific needs, in an open and compassionate manner, which allows for the development of a customized care plan
  • Continuing the dialogue with client / family members during service so that the care plan / services provided are adjusted as the client’s needs change
  • Providing leadership in senior care within Southwestern Illinois

Their main office is located at 5010 W Main St. in Belleville. This facility is our hub for recruiting, hiring, and training our caregivers, the pulse of our business. David brings to Right at Home Southwestern Illinois thirty years of management experience within both the retail and nonprofit sectors. For the past sixteen years he served as the President and CEO of Heart Lands Conservancy, a regional, environmental nonprofit serving Southwestern Illinois. It was in this position that he gained a deeper understanding and level of experience in guiding a mission-based organization. He is proud to be able to bring this mission-based model to Right at Home serving Southwestern Illinois.

In 1998, David was involved in a tractor accident which caused him to lose one leg, and much of the function in his second leg. While the accident was unfortunate, it did serve as a life-lesson towards understanding the needs, both physical and emotional, of those individuals who have, or are in the process of losing some of their mobility, or ability to care for themselves. Dave knows how important it is on choosing the right in-home care agency as he went through it himself. Therefore, Dave likes sharing this unique insight with both caregivers and clients.

Spending most of his time at the Right at Home Southwestern Illinois in Belleville office, David resides in Waterloo with his wife Tamara and daughter, Emma Nicole. Emma just recently finished her business degree at The Ohio State University. The family enjoys spoiling their two dogs, an English Springer Spaniel and a Red-Fox Labrador Retriever, who is currently in training as a working dog (wheelchair assist). David is a very passionate fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Syracuse University basketball and The Ohio State University football!

There is a depth of relationships this type of business offers both clients and their care team. Our Philanthropy

Globally, an estimated 70 million people with disabilities have no access to a wheelchair. Those who cannot walk must crawl or be carried to their destination. In collaboration with a network of like-minded partners, Free Wheelchair Mission has distributed more than 1 million wheelchairs to people with disabilities in 93 developing countries around the world, providing renewed dignity, independence and hope through the gift of mobility, at no cost to the recipient.

As an organization, Right at Home's work with Free Wheelchair Mission began in 2016 as the company looked for a partner that would help us further our mission of improving lives worldwide. To date, the Right at Home team's efforts have raised more than $400,000 that has funded over 5,000 wheelchairs, which were distributed through life-changing Vision Trips to Vietnam, Ecuador and Costa Rica.
