"Having traveled the last six months through many hospitalizations with my mother, so many follow up visits, and now another one month hospitalization with a surgery has left me blinded by exhaustion, I knew further action was needed.  I have spoken to surgeons, medical doctors, nurses, PAs, dietitians, psychologists, gastroenterologists and more, only to be left overwhelmed. It was today that I felt drawn to contact Beth Reisman-Sholom, to ask for her advice, since I thought hospice might be next. It was invaluable to me.  I was able to decide that I’m moving too fast (NOT their words), readjust, consider what is possible here and what is not.  When you’re exhausted along with a staff running hard, the right answer can get lost in a sea of variables. Beth was able to calmly break things down, had all the proper contacts to determine which way I might want to move, and what I gained from that was hope that was fading, along with my mother’s will.  Something shifted, I went up there and we both decided to fight through this.  Today was better than yesterday.  I’ve previously used Right At Home for a short period of time, and absolutely loved the caregivers who spent time with my mother.  I have an acute sense of people, and Beth’s staff demonstrated a true respect and love of the elderly.  It helped my anxiety tremendously when I had to leave my sweet mom alone.  I’m very grateful for you Beth and for Right At Home. I mentioned Right At Home at a local family owned pharmacy (for over 30 years), and the pharmacist smiled and told me he used Right At Home for his mother.  Smart man.  With people like Beth, who has demonstrated a deep love and respect for the elderly, I highly recommend calling her with any elder care issues or needs for your parents, grandparents or any elderly person in your life.  I will sleep better tonight, than I have in weeks, knowing that whether my mother lives or dies, that Beth’s resources will provide her a quality life, or possibly a quality death.  There is some kind of peace in that.  Thank you Beth Reisman Sholom.  You gave me and my mother, what so many before you could not.  Hope."
