Our People

Here at Right at Home, we're dedicated to being much more than a franchise company. We are the navigator of what comes next for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our mission has always been to improve the quality of life for those we serve.  That means it's always about the people we serve, and our dedicated local owners and their professional teams work tirelessly to care for clients. Jim Gall

Owner

Right at Home – Northern Michigan is owned by Jim Gall, who joined the Right at Home system in 2012. Prior to the home care industry, Jim worked for Dow Chemical for nearly 30 years, starting as a chemist and later serving in a number of business development and strategic marketing roles.

In planning the next chapter of his career, Jim knew he wanted to do something that he could feel good about at the end of the day, knowing that his work was making a difference. Having seen how his mom struggled to care for his grandmother years ago, the decision to join Right at Home was an easy one – he saw this new career as the perfect opportunity to help other sons and daughters take care of their parents and other family members needing support, whether that meant caring for seniors, people recovering from an illness or injury, or those dealing with lifelong challenges.
Since joining the Right at Home system, Jim has completed extensive training, including various corporate programs, Alzheimer’s Association’s essentiALZ® Plus Advanced Dementia Care training, and earned the designation of Certified Senior Advisor from the Society of Certified Senior Advisors in 2013.

Community Involvement

Jim believes that Right at Home’s commitment to the communities we serve is key to the organization’s success. Locally, he is active in several organizations and events and serves in leadership roles with several of the following: the Walk to End Alzheimer’s through the Alzheimer’s Association, the Professional Alliance for Senior Services (PASS), the Midland Alliance for Senior Care (MASC), Compassionate Associates Reaching the Elderly (CARE), serving as an editorial advisor for Delta College TV’s Second Act: Life at 50+, Conscious Capitalism Great Lakes Bay Region Chapter, the Boy Scouts of America’s Heartland District, Midland Noon Rotary, and the Midland Business Alliance.
Previously, he has also volunteered his time and expertise to support Cancer Services of Midland as a member of its Board of Directors for 10 years, and the Saginaw Commission on Aging’s Dementia Advisory Board. He also served as the co-founder of the Great Lakes Bay Caregiver Retreat in 2017.

Awards and Honors

Under Jim’s leadership, Right at Home – Northern Michigan has received numerous awards, both for the care it provides and as an employer, including:
Being certified as a Great Place to Work through Activated Insights, Inc in 2024
