Nurse Delegated Care
Right at Home Snohomish County is able to do specific nursing tasks under a state approved nurse delegated RN. This service allows certified and trained caregivers working in stable and predictable settings to perform elevated tasks--such as administration of prescription medications or blood glucose testing--normally performed only by licensed nurses. A registered nurse must teach and supervise the nursing assistant, as well as provide nursing assessments of the patient's condition prior to start of these services. Every 90 days or as needed for change of conditions, the RN is responsible to oversee any changes of conditions reported by the family or the caregiver. The RN, will complete an in-home assessment to discern if the client’s condition is stable and predictable at cost to the family. Our trusted providers are vetted by our agency prior to recommending them to you.
Right at Home Snoco will provide you with a list of trusted providers who are licensed by the state of Washington to provide these services, you will be billed directly by the RN but we will coordinate the care for these services. The services are then billed at the nurse delegated rate of care.
