Right at Home of Northeast, MS is an In-Home Care and Assistance company that provides non-medical care for the elderly and disabled. We are currently looking for a reliable, caring, and compassionate Lead Caregiver who is interested in improving the quality of life for those we serve!
Our Lead Caregivers start at $12-$15/hr and are guaranteed 40 hours weekly. Caregiver must be able to perform all levels of care (ADLs, IADLS, Safety Supervision, Companionship, Etc.) and be willing to service any client throughout our territory. Lead schedules change daily or weekly based on our client needs and require strong communication with our Care Coordinator. We are looking for a positive face, eager to learn, eager to train, and eager to serve. Different shift availability offered.

Essential Functions
- Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to): Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair), Ambulation, Eating, Dressing, Shaving
- Prepares meals and snacks
- Performs patient-specific activities that are taught by a nurse. These could include (but are not limited to): Assisting with the change of ostomy appliances, Reinforcement of dressings, Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises, Measuring and preparing special diets, Taking vital signs, Application of an external catheter
- Performs homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate should have experience as a caregiver, strong communication skills, problem solving ability, and organizational skills.
- High school graduate or G.E.D certificate preferred
- 18 years of age or older
- Pass a written competency evaluation with 80% or higher
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
- Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job
- Guaranteed 40 hours weekly
