Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior

Phil Chandler, owner of the Right at Home Ventura County office will present "Understanding Dementia Related Behaviors" to the staff of Vista Cove Care Center. 

People with dementia can exhibit behaviors that can be difficult to understand and manage. A caregiver may be frustrated dealing with someone with aggression, confusion, repetitive actions, wandering or paranoia. This presentation covers a four step process caregivers can use to decipher behavior and determine how best to respond. Practical information and resources are described so the caregiver has a framework to understand and address these difficult behaviors. This presentation lasts about 45 minutes with time for Q & A.
