Your Career as a Caregiver

A Note about COVID-19

Now, more than ever, it’s clear how essential caregivers really are. The people we serve rely on our caregivers, not just for companionship during a time of isolation, but also for assistance with their basic needs. Without dedicated caregivers, many seniors and adults with disabilities would be left with little support. You can make all the difference.

As a Right at Home Caregiver, you can make all the difference! Right at Home of Ventura County offers opportunities for you to make a direct impact on improving the lives of others. We value our wonderful professional caregivers and feel it's important they have opportunities for growth on a trusted and respected team.

The culture at Right at Home reflects our “our reason for being”. We provide the care needed for our clients to live at home safely, with joy for life, enabling them to enjoy their families, and support family caregivers who may be stressed by caregiving duties. We exist to support our caregiver, who in turn are engaged with Right at Home to provide care for our clients.

Read more below about the unique positions we offer, along with the training and support we provide to every Right at Home caregiver.

Audrey Chong

Caregiver of the Year 2023

Audrey has been a caregiver for RAH-VC for 7 years, she goes above and beyond her job duties. "I loved laughing with Ms. Pat. I loved to walk with her to the park every weekend and to work in her private museum.  She has antique collections that are beautiful. We have great time together.”

Audrey is like an Angel while going about her work. She is often appreciated by her client's children for outstanding dedication to their family, which is Audrey's favorite part of the job.  Caregiving comes naturally to her.

Audrey doesn't like sports much, "but after watching football with my clients.  Now my favorite sport is football!"

Audrey is very friendly and likes to laugh at herself, and with others. “After breakfast coffee at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Ventura with her mother and her group of dear friends, she takes her mother out for lunch at a favorite local spot."

In her time off from caregiving, Audrey and her brother meander through town in Santa Barbara and window shop.  Audrey said, “My brother and I love to go to antiques stores and look for teacups and saucers, but lately I’m crazy about collecting crystal wine glasses.”

Audrey's favorite snacks are Godiva chocolate and potato chips, but not together.

Audrey is a true asset to the Right at Home-VC team and we are happy to have her bright smile in Ventura. Have a great 2024 and thank you for all you did to become Caregiver of the year in 2023!

We appreciate you!
