Phil Chandler, owner of Right at Home Ventura County, will present "The Basics: Memory loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s Disease" to members of the Noontime Rotary Club of Simi Valley

Alzheimer’s Disease affects about 14,000 residents and is the is the fourth leading cause of death in Ventura County. This talk describes normal and abnormal memory loss, different types of dementia including Alzheimer’s Disease, how it is diagnosed, what to do if experiencing signs of Alzheimer’s. The presentation includes video clips from doctors and patients describing their experiences. Discussion of a wide variety of helpful resources are provided. The talk is about 45 minutes with 15 minutes for Q&A.
