Basics of Dementia

Owner of Right at Home Ventura County, Phil Chandler, will be presenting, "Basics of Dementia" to the Navy League on Thursday, June 13th.

Alzheimer’s Disease effects about 14,000 residents and is the is the fourth leading cause of death in Ventura County. This talk describes normal and abnormal memory loss, different types of dementia including Alzheimer’s Disease, how it is diagnosed, what to do if experiencing signs of Alzheimer’s. The presentation includes video clips from doctors and patients describing their experiences. Discussion of a wide variety of helpful resources are provided.
